The release date of the delayed 2.7 version of Genshin Impact might be coming soon, as it’s being indicated by new recent beta information. The 2.7 version beta is already over, and the new beta, which has already started, has some spicy new information about the future of the game.

Currently, Genshin is having a rough time with a delayed update, an extended banner, and no new events, aside from the Spices From The West. The problem is that said event also depends on the Teapot, which is still on maintenance, and as such, many cannot fully enjoy it.

But new leaks, alongside the official reveal of the new character Shikanoin Heizou scheduled for 2.8, have ignited some heat back into the community, and we’ll talk about some of this information now.

New beta version information

As previously announced by known leakers, the new beta has already started, and it brought a lot of new information about the future of the game. But the first important information is that the download now has extra security, meaning it could be easier to track down leakers.

But aside from it, there is a lot of new content intended for the version, which could be the final 2.x patch, leading to Sumeru next. Genshin Intel made a summary of the future patch:

With a new Story Chapter in the making, Kazuha may finally receive his long-awaited rerun in the 2.8 version, as it has happened with other characters in the past who received new quests revolved around them (mainly the Archons).

The Diluc skin has been teased for a while, and other comments suggest that it will have some special effects attached to it, something new for the Genshin skins. Fischl will also be returning as one of the main characters in an event for the first time since the 1.1 version.

Also, Heizou has a model and some attack animations. He’s not only the first male catalyst character but also the first character who actually punches his enemies! He uses his catalyst to boost his martial arts attacks instead of using magical projectiles.

Possible Genshin Impact 2.7 release date and banners

While no confirmation was given from Hoyoverse, other new information found in the beta may indicate that the 2.7 release date could be sooner than we think.

Ubatcha claims that the first banner of 2.7 will feature Yelan and Xiao, with Barbara, Yanfei, and Noelle as the rate up 4-stars. The banner is scheduled to start on May 31, which could be the official release of the new version, two weeks from now.

Shinobu being released later implies that another banner will be released, and that’s probably Itto’s rerun, as it’s been teased by promotional art.

The Teapot event is scheduled to continue for the next 20 days, but nothing holds Hoyoverse from actually making an event last for more than a single update, since it was a conturbed one.

Footage from the beta is slowly coming through, and soon we’ll have more information on what we can expect from this future update. Be aware that it should take a while for 2.8, Kazuha’s banner, and Heizou’s arrival to actually happen, but not as much as you would expect.
