Genshin Impact Leaks: Data miner reveals info on Nahida’s Skills

Before Sumeru was released, several new characters’ designs were leaked online. These included the model of a character named Nahida, a small young girl who wears a white dress with green accents.
When the Prelude to Wisdom teaser was released, Nahida was introduced as a mysterious girl. However, there didn’t seem to be any information on what she could bring to the battlefield. Even the most popular leakers couldn’t say anything about Nahida’s skills.
It was later revealed in the official story that Nahida and the Dendro Archon Lesser Lord Kusanali are one, confirming the previous rumors about her. Still, no new information on Nahida’s skills was leaked.
New leak hints at Nahida’s Skills
Recently, new details on Nahida’s skills were shared online by known leaker @genshinBLANK. In a tweet dated September 4, 2022, the leaker said:
“I also want to additionally provide some extra VERY EARLY INFO on Nahida. She has a short CD on her E. Her E is ‘ElementalArt_RayCast’ and her Q has 2 variations ‘Hollow’ and ‘Hollow_Flower’.”
The leaker also said that Nahida would be released during Genshin Impact version 3.2 and another new character named Layla.
Shortly after BLANK’s tweet, a data miner tried to look up information from the game files, and, indeed, some codes hint at Nahida’s skills. This was posted by u/viliml on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit.
The post also tried to give meaning to these details. For instance, the data miner said:
“Click and Hold animations imply the skill will have press and hold variations. The Loop animation implies that the hold skill can be held statically for a while, either aiming like Fischl’s or Keqing’s or Itto’s, or waiting like Beidou’s or Yunjin’s.”
The post also mentioned that:
“The Move animation implies that the skill will let you move freely during its duration: the only other skills with a Move animation in the data are Mona and Ayaka’s alternate sprints and Fischl’s burst.”
With this, fans also shared their speculations on the post, with one user saying:
“Wasn’t Albedo’s and Geo Traveler E animations also gets coded with the Hold_AS? If it’s the case, then it can be surmised that Kusa places a Dendro structure on the field.”
While learning something new about Dendro Archon’s skills is exciting, it should be noted that these are purely speculative and should be taken with a grain of salt.
Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game developed by miHoyo, also known as HoYoverse. The game is available for PC, PS4, PS5, iOS, and Android, while a release on Nintendo Switch is currently in the works.
