Genshin Impact Leaks: Layla release date

Genshin Impact 3.0 has opened the way for more areas to explore, species to discover, stories to hear, and more characters to meet. When the Traveler and Paimon first arrived in Sumeru, they met the newest playable characters Collei and Tighnari.
Like everybody else in the game, the two have a set of voice lines that players can check to learn more about them and get insight into other characters. Going through Tighnari‘s voice lines, one of them is about a certain Layla. However, this voice line doesn’t contain any information yet.
Introducing upcoming characters through playable characters’ voice lines isn’t new to Genshin Impact. It can be recalled that players first learned about Arataki Itto, Ayato, Kuki Shinobu, and Shikanoin Heizou through the voice lines of others. This means that it is also possible for Layla to be playable soon.
When will Layla be released?
HoYoverse hasn’t provided any information about Layla yet. However, we have gathered some information from leakers. Therefore, note that this article’s details are subject to change.
According to leaker @genshinBLANK, Layla is an upcoming playable character scheduled for release in version 3.2 together with Nahida. Characters who will be having banner reruns during this time are Yae Miko and Childe. Should everything go well, version 3.2 will be released on November 2nd, 2022.

The leaker also added that the upcoming character would make her appearance in a plotline involving Yae Miko.
The same release information was shared by @Ubatcha. In a series of tweets, the leaker also mentioned that Layla would be released in version 3.2 with Nahida. Moreover, the leaker shared Layla‘s character description, saying:
She’s a student of the Rtawahist Darshan. She gets good grades though she works extremely hard for them. She has insomnia and her mind is constantly all over the place thinking about schoolwork. Honestly, she’s one of the most relatable characters.
As of writing, details about the new character’s design and kit, such as her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst, are unknown.
Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game developed by miHoyo, also known as HoYoverse. The game is available for PC, PS4, PS5, iOS, and Android, while a release on Nintendo Switch is currently in the works.
