Genshin Impact: How to restore and get more Original Resin

Original Resin is a gate to many activities in Genshin Impact; if you don’t have any, you don’t get rewards, so here’s how you can get some more resin.

How to restore or get more Original Resin in Genshin Impact

Original Resin in Genshin Impact can be restored by Fragile Resin or Transient Resin items, as well as through the use of Primogems at increasingly expensive rates, or simply by allowing it to restore with time.

Everyone would like more Original Resin in Genshin Impact, given how useful it is, but unfortunately, there really aren’t too many ways to get yourself more of it.

The easiest to access and use are the Primogem or Fragile Resin methods, both of which will be prompted to you if you try to claim a reward when you have insufficient Original Resin to claim it.

Both of these will restore 60 Resin on use. They do however work differently.

Fragile Resin is a one-off consumable item that will always restore 60 Original Resin per use. These are gained most often through one-off rewards for level ups, or through the Battlepass on every alternative fifth level, starting at level 5, then 15, then 25, and so on.

Primogems meanwhile are found all over the world of Teyvat in Genshin Impact, but the cost of Primogem restoring Resin will increase the more they are used in a day, and it’s generally recommended to hold on to those for wishing in the featured banners in Genshin.

The only other typically available option is through the use of Transient Resin, which largely works just like a Fragile Resin would. These consumables can be purchased from the Realm Depot store in the Serenitea teapot housing system instead.

The catch is that Transient Resin will expire within between a week or 2 weeks at most if not used.
