Genshin Impact: How long does Resin take to refill?

Original Resin is the currency in Genshin Impact used to unlock boss and in-world event rewards, so knowing how often it’ll refill is important.

How long does Resin take to refill in Genshin Impact?

Original Resin is the currency used to redeem challenge rewards in Genshin Impact, such as from domains, bosses and Leylines, including both Experience blossoms and Wealth blossoms. As such, using it when available is hugely beneficial to your progress in Genshin Impact, particularly given that it can reach a cap and then simply stop refilling on its own if left unsupervised.

Fortunately, Genshin Impact actually provides us a very easy way to keep an eye on this ourselves in game. If you open your world map (either via the menu or) by pressing M on your keyboard if you’re on PC at least, there is actually a Resin counter in the top right hand corner.

Clicking on this will display two separate timers, the first of which is “Replenished in” with a timer below. This first timer simply shows how much time until you gain +1 Original Resin.

The second timer, “Fully Replenished”, means the time remaining until your Original Resin stockpile goes from whatever it currently is all the way back up to the absolute maximum of 160.

While not explicitly shown here, we can use the numbers given to see how much an individual piece of Resin takes to restore anyway. 21 Hours and 12 minutes is the time given for 159 resin to regenerate, which when divided shows us that it takes 8 minutes per point of Resin to refill.

The full refill of Original Resin will instead take 21 hours and 20 minutes in total – though unless you just spent all your resin at once from the 160 cap in Genshin, you probably have less time to wait than that, so make sure to check on the timer yourself to be sure.
