Genshin Impact: Does the Game Have Autosave?

If you love classic RPGs that can be played on your own, you’re probably almost always accessing the game menu to save your progress or, if the game doesn’t have that convenient save option in the menu, always on the lookout for save points. This is because most offline RPGs don’t autosave.

Sometimes you also take advantage of the save feature to save yourself from the shame of having been defeated by an annoying enemy like Pokémon gym leaders or if you made a bad decision that significantly made a difference in the game’s story.

During these situations, you just rage quit and not save your progress at all, turning back time, going back to a certain point when bad choices weren’t made yet.

However, when Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGs) became popular, the save feature has seen better days.

These games allow you to progress through them without turning back. The players you see in these games’ towns and cities are playing at the same time as you, and there’s no way for you to waste their time and manipulate it like the time traveler that you were in offline RPGs. 

Then one day, you came across Genshin Impact. Yes, it’s an online game, but unlike MMORPGs, you can actually just play it on your own.

Saving Your Progress in Genshin Impact: Manual or Autosave?

So, you ask yourself: How do I save my progress? Then, you also probably looked for the save option. 

If you’ve been playing for a while, you obviously know the answer. But if you just started, then you should know that there is NO save option in Genshin Impact’s menu nor are there any save points.

When I played Genshin Impact for the very first time, the statues of the gods I came across reminded of the statues of the Mana Goddess from the Mana series of games, and thought they were save points. 

I even looked for an inn when my party’s HP was low! 

So, if you can’t manually save the game, how do you save your progress? Does the game have autosave? 

Yes, regardless of the platform you’re playing on, Genshin Impact will automatically save on its own accord.
