Genshin Impact Celebrates its First Anniversary With Big Announcements, Free Wishes, and More

miHoYo revealed today, during the Special Presentation focused on Genshin impact’s upcoming version 2.1 ‘”Floating World Under the Moonlight”, that the game will celebrate its first anniversary with style, with big announcements, free wishes to players, and much more.

It Would Not be a Genshin Celebration Without Free Wishes

The effort put into the celebration can be already seen on its official art, which you can see below, featuring not only the Travellers and Paimon, but also the three Archons already featured in the game, Venti, Zhongli, and Baal.

miHoYo also revealed, that during the celebration, players will be able to receive up to 10 Intertwined Fates, among other rewards. But that’s not all, since all Bonuses offered when purchasing Crystals will also be reset.

The Shogun is Here, And She is Not Alone

What better way there is to celebrate the game’s first anniversary than by releasing one of its most awaited characters. The Electro Archon Baal, who will be the game’s new Electro 5-star.

But she will not come alone, since the version will also feature the debut of 5-star Hydro Catalyst Sangonomiya Kokomi, and 4-star Bow user Kujou Sara.

Genshin Impact’s First Live Concert

miHoYo also revealed that an Online Concert featuring many of the acclaimed songs present in the game’s soundtrack will take place, featuring musicians from all over the world in a celebratory event. the best part? It will be free for all to watch.

New details regarding the day and the time in which the concert will take place, as well as more details regarding the musicians and songs are set revealed in the upcoming days-weeks.

Engraved Wishes

At the Engraved Wishes event, players will get the opportunity to send their messages to miHoYo, but the best part is that, among the total number, many will be selected to be engraved and become a part of a gigantic Paimon statue.

Genshin Impact’s version 2.1 will be released on September 1st and will feature, among the features talked about above, the playable debut of Baal, Kokomi, and Kujou Sara and the celebration of the game’s first anniversary, celebrated on September 28.

You can take part in Genshin Impact’s current version 2.0 ”The Immortal God and the Eternal Euthymia” right now, which features the debut of the massive region of Inazuma, and the debut of a whole new set of characters to the game, as well as new mechanics, and more.

Genshin Impact is currently available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, mobile devices – Android and iOS – and for PC, via miHoYo’s official launcher and, since June 9th, in the Epic Games Store. A version of the game for the Nintendo Switch is also reportedly in development.
