Genshin Impact Inazuma: Meet all the New Characters

During the Special Program focused on Genshin Impact’s version 2.0 ”The Immortal God and the Eternal Euthymia”, mihoYo officially revealed all the new characters to be featured in Inazuma, in the version, and in the future, to the surprise of all.

With that said, we decided to put together everything you need to know about the new faces coming to Genshin Impact, taking into account leaks and official information, revealed by the Head of Genshin Impact’s Creative Concept and Writing Teams, Xiao Louhao, in the Special Program, and by miHoYo’s Studio Technical Director, Zhenzhong Yi, on the official PlayStation Blog.

To begin, here is the trailer for the game’s new version 2.0, featuring all the characters to be talked about below:

Baal ”Raiden Shogun”

Starting with her, the Electro Archon, Baal, also known as the Electro Shogun, and the ruler of Inazuma. According to the Special Program focussed on the game’s version 2;0, Ball will be a cold and strict character, as well as the main key for the Inazuma portion of the story.

She is the one that ordered the fearsome Vision Hunt Decree, a year prior to the beginning of the game, giving birth to a war that rages on the land of Inazuma, dividing its people.

Since, according to the known leaker Project Celestia, Baal will be an Electro Polearm user, is possible that she only takes out her sword in select situations.

Kojou Sara

The current general of the Tenryou Commission, and the adopted daughter of the Kijou Clan of the Tenryou Commission. A Tengu Warrior, Sara is extremely loyal to the Raiden Shogun, and, according to Louhao, a charismatic general. According to the trailer, she will be a bow wielder.

Sara first appeared by Baal’s side on Kazuha’s character teaser, ”The Solitary Pursuit of Lightning”.

According to the known leaker Project Celestia, Sara will be an Electro Bow wielder.

Kamisato Ayaka

One of the game’s upcoming 5-star characters and the star of the first banner of version 2.0. Ayaka is the oldest daughter of the leader of the Kamisato Clan and someone considered to be the ideal image of elegance and composure, which she showcases in her impressive bladework.

Ayaka will be a Cryo DPS, focused on dealing Elemental damage and inflicting reactions.

Yoimiya

The star of the second character featured banner to be featured in version 2.0 will be Yoimiya, the owner of Naganohara Fireworks and Inazuma’s best pyrotechnician, also known as the Queen of the Summer Festival.

She will be a 5-star elemental DPS, focused on dealing high elemental damage with her normal attacks, which can be enhanced by her elemental skill.

According to by miHoYo’s Studio Technical Director, Zhenzhong Yi, ”Yoimiya excels in her craft of creating fireworks that symbolize people’s hopes and dreams.” 

Sayu

The game’s newest 4-star character, who will be featured with Yoimiya in the second banner of version 2.0. Sayu is a talented ninja, capable of wielding a giant claymore in combat, even so, she uses her abilities mostly to slack off work, taking naps in selected spots through the nation.

According to leaks, she will be a character focused on dealing Elemental Damage, enabling reactions, as well as healing the team when needed with her Elemental Burst.

Yae Miko

The Guji for the Grand Nakarumi Shrine. She has, according to Louhao, an intelligent, cunning, and unpredictable personality.

According to known leaker Project Celestia, Tae will be an Electro Catalyst user.

Thoma

The current Chief Retainer for the Kamisato Clan, no much was officially revealed about him, but according to leaks by known leaker Project Celestia, Thoma will be a Pyro Polearm user.

Sangonomiya Kokomi

The current leader of the Sangonomiya resistance, she is, according to Louhao, a wise and resourceful military advisor. He also commented that even if she is always wearing a serene smile, behind, a calculating mind rests, ”She is the brains of the forces.”

According to the known leaker Project Celestia, Kokomi will be a Hydro Catalyst user.

Gorou

If Kokomi can be considered the brain behind the resistance, Gorou is the brawl. Current a general of troops for the Sangonomiya resistance, he is, according to Louhao, a character that grows stronger as the battle progresses. According to the trailer, Gorou will be a bow wielder.

According to leaks, he will be Genshin Impact’s first Geo bow wielder.

You can take part in Genshin Impact’s version 1.6 right now, which features the character banner of Kaedehara Kazuha, as well as his featured weapon banner, a new Archon quest, and much more. 

Genshin Impact is currently available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, mobile devices – Android and iOS – and for PC, via miHoYo’s official launcher and, since June 9th, in the Epic Games Store. A version of the game for the Nintendo Switch is also reportedly in development.
