Uproot is the third part of the Autumn Crisis sub-event from Genshin Impact 3.1’s flagship event Of Ballads and Brews. Here, you will be tasked by Farabi and Edmund to capture the Great Snowboar King for research purposes.
While the mechanic for this challenge is similar to the previous ones in Autumn Crisis, your Normal Attacks’ damage will only have little effect against the Great Snowboar King. Considering that there is a timer for this, you might run out of time before even dealing a significant amount of damage to the boar.

Below are some of the things that you need to take note of in order to capture the Great Snowboar King in Autumn Crisis: Uproot.
KEEP WARM
This challenge takes place in Dragonspine, which means that you will be affected with Sheer Cold. With this, you may eat Goulash first before trying to capture the Great Snowboar King. On the other hand, while taking the challenge, you can get close to the Ruin Braziers around to mitigate the effects of Sheer Cold.

KNOCK OUT THE GREAT SNOWBOAR KING
As mentioned earlier, your Normal Attack damage against the boar will be pretty low. To deal better damage and eventually capture the Great Snowboar King, you will need to knock it out first. Here are the ways for you to do that:
- Pick up the Hunter’s Shield (this will spawn once in a while), and let the boar charge toward you while the shield is on. This will knock out the boar for a few seconds.
- Position yourself strategically near traps (these will spawn once in a while), and let the boar charge toward you in a way that it will hit the trap instead. This will knock it out for a few seconds. Note that the trap that is ready for use is the one with a yellowish glow.
- Activate the Smoke Machine. This will not technically knock the boar out, but it will confuse it and have it lower its guard down for a few seconds.

DEAL HUGE DAMAGE USING THE HUNTING NET
Once the Great Snowboar King is knocked out or has lowered its guard down, use the Hunting Net to deal a significant amount of damage. Note that the Hunting Net will only deal much damage while the boar is knocked out or confused. During its enraged state, the net will deal even lower damage than your Normal Attacks. Of course, when the boar is vulnerable, you can use your Normal or Charged Attacks, too.
DEFEAT THE SMALLER BOARS
A little later into the challenge, the Great Snowboar King will summon smaller boars. To avoid distractions, it’s best to defeat them as soon as you can. They can be defeated easily, anyway.
DODGE THE KING’S RAGE
One of the Great Snowboar King‘s abilities is The King’s Rage, where it will jump up and down repeatedly causing snowballs to fall. Dodge these snowballs by moving around.
Once the Great Snowboar King‘s HP drops down to zero, the challenge will be completed.
