Genshin Impact 2.1: Baal, Sara, and Kokomi’s Character Overviews Revealed

Today, miHoYo revealed the full overview on Genshin Impact’s upcoming characters Baal, the Electro Archon, Kujou Sara, and Sangonomiya Kokomi.

Baal

”The undisputed supreme ruler of Inazuma.

Her Excellency, the Almighty Narukami Ogosho, promised the people of Inazuma an unchanging eternity to last throughout the ages.

After purging all sentiment with merciless lightning, the solitude of her mind became a secluded space free from mortal joys and woes…

Over the long years, the road to eternity has been dark and desolate, but Her Excellency the Shogun has never wavered, not even for a moment.

For true unchanging eternity is found only in the stillness that manifests itself when all noise is stripped away.”

Kujou Sara

”Leader of the Tenryou Commission’s forces. Bold, decisive, and skilled in battle.

If the Almighty Shogun is the sound of thunder that fills the heavens, Kujou Sara is the lightning strike against which her enemies are powerless to defend themselves — and wherever lightning first strikes, terrifying thunder is sure to follow.

As the adopted daughter of the Kujou Clan, she conducts herself with an official demeanor at all times. Ask anyone about their impression of Kujou Sara, and they will likely talk of her ruthless efficiency and stern attitude.

Yet this loyal subject of the Shogun is not as cold and indifferent as she seems on the surface. Rather, she has surrendered herself to the demands of her role, her strong sense of duty causing her to put aside her own desires in service of a greater cause.

For Kujou Sara, helping the Almighty Shogun to achieve eternity is a paramount goal. She knows that she herself may not be there in the end, but she devotes herself to this mission all the same.

“Victory will belong to all of us, even if I am not the last person remaining on the battlefield.”

If people could have only one wish, this would be Kujou Sara’s.

Concealed beneath her icy exterior is a heart that pounds like thunder, where passionate flames burn in secret.”

Sangonomiya Kokomi

”The Divine Priestess and supreme leader of Watatsumi Island

Many believe Sangonomiya Kokomi to be an enigmatic, shrewd leader. However, she always has a quiet smile on her face, and while she gets things done in an orderly fashion, she will sometimes do so over laughter and light conversation.

Having read many military treatises from all over Teyvat since she was a child, Kokomi has a talent for strategy and is capable of outwitting opponents through clever stratagems. Although Watatsumi Island lacks manpower and materiel, its people have managed to turn the tide of battle many times thanks to Kokomi’s tactical prowess. Whether in battle, trade, diplomacy, or internal affairs, Kokomi will do her best. Her achievements have won her the respect of Watatsumi Island’s various factions.

“Never fear, Her Excellency Sangonomiya is here,” has become a common popular saying amongst the people of Watatsumi Island.

However, few people know that Kokomi’s biggest aspiration has always been to merely be an adviser behind the scenes. Socializing with others is in fact a most tiring task for her. Her hands shake every time she gives a speech, and she entertains thoughts of retreating into herself every time work starts piling up. She enjoys herself most while holed up at home after finishing her work, face buried in her military strategy books.

To reach a lofty post at such a young age is considered a great achievement, but for Kokomi, the higher up one is on the mountain, the more treacherous the path.”

Accordign to leaks, Baal will be a 5-star Electro Polearm, Sara a 4-star Electro Archer, and Kokomi a 5-star Hydro Catalyst wielder.

You can take part in Genshin Impact’s current version 2.0 ”The Immortal God and the Eternal Euthymia” right now, which features the debut of the massive region of Inazuma, and the debut of a whole new set of characters to the game, as well as new mechanics, and more.

The version also features the playable debut of Kamisato Ayaka, the star of its first banner, scheduled to run until August 10. The game’s upcoming 5-star Pyro Archer Yoimiya, and the 4-star Anemo Claymore Sayu will both be featured in the version’s second character wish banner, set to debut at end of Ayaka’s.

Genshin Impact is currently available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, mobile devices – Android and iOS – and for PC, via miHoYo’s official launcher and, since June 9th, in the Epic Games Store. A version of the game for the Nintendo Switch is also reportedly in development.
