Fortnite: Players to receive free pickaxe and boosted Power Leveling XP

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 has been a great season so far, with a brand new map and loot pool and the game being as enjoyable as it was in Chapter 1.
But, the new season hasn’t been without its issues, with the game going offline twice due to major server outages.
Because of this, Epic Games has decided to reward players for the trouble of dealing with the server issues with a free pickaxe and increased XP boosts to make leveling up quicker to complete the Battle Pass.
In a tweet, Epic Games announced that all players will receive the Crescent Shroom Pickaxe, as well as Power Leveling being activated this weekend,
“As thanks for everyone’s patience during the December login issues, we’ll be kicking off a Power Leveling Weekend from 1/7 @ 7 PM to 1/10 @ 7 AM ET and granting everyone who logged in during Winterfest the new Crescent Shroom Pickaxe before it arrives in the Shop later!”
Power leveling will work the same as Supercharged XP in Chapter 2, which will increase the amount of XP that players earn for every action in the game, such as looting, eliminating players, surviving storm circles, and completing challenges.
This will make leveling up much quicker and help players complete the Battle Pass and move to the bonus rewards, which includes multiple styles for the skins from the Battle Pass.
The Crescent Shroom Pickaxe will also be given to players for free before heading to the Item Shop at a later date. You can check out what the Crescent Shroom Pickaxe looks like in the image below.
Since the latest server fix, players may have noticed an extra present notification in the lobby, but there are no presents to open in Winterfest.

It looks like the Crescent Shroom Pickaxe is being used as a substitute for that error, to give players that extra present they have been unable to open.
