Playing Elden Ring or any Soulsbourne game for that matter can be a very frustrating experience when you’re just starting out as your character will die a lot.

Because of this, many gamers have been asking for an Easy Mode for Elden Ring to allow for a much more relaxed experience that will help newer players get into the genre. But, due to the online nature of the game, it is very difficult to implement and not something FromSoftware has ever done so far.

Thankfully, a group of modders has taken it upon themselves to create mods for the game, with some adding an easy mode option for those that want to experience the world and story without thousands of deaths.

Perhaps one of the most frustrating things that can happen to you in Elden Ring is losing your precious runes when your character dies. When this happens, you’ll have to revisit the place you died in and take the runes back.

That sounds like a burden, but with the Recover Runes Immediately Mod, you won’t have to do that again. As its name suggests, this mod allows you to recover runes immediately upon death.

Another mod that will definitely give you an Easy Mode feel is ERRK (Elden Ring Regen on Kill). Although currently hidden for updates, this mod might come in handy when it becomes available again. With this mod, you can regen HP/SP/FP when defeating an enemy.

Due to the online nature of the game, Elden Ring is unable to be paused as many other players are on the same server as you. But, sometimes you just need to be able to pause a game, perhaps to take care of children, this can mean that games such as Elden Ring aren’t appealing to some players. By disabling the online capability, this mod allows for Elden Ring to be paused, which will surely come in handy for many players.

Lastly, starting out a game mostly means that your character is still weak and broke, and you have to do all the hard work, spending hours upon hours of grinding. But by using the Trainer mod, you can start the game with 99 million runes! That’s a whopping number of runes, more than enough to create a character that’s not only powerful but also fun to play. With this, you can just enjoy the game without wasting all your time grinding.

Aside from the mods for an Easy Mode, there are other mods that you might want to try for a better gaming experience in general. These include Flawless Widescreen, Photo Mode, FPS Unlocker, and Fix the Camera

While having these mods will definitely give you an Easy Mode experience, this doesn’t necessarily mean that boss fights and enemy encounters will be a piece of cake. These will remain challenging, but you’ll definitely feel the difference.

As always, it is important to note to use these mods in offline mode and after disabling the game’s anti-cheat system. You don’t want to get banned.
