PS Plus September 2022 games have been announced

After a string of generally favorable reviews, PS Plus is adding more games to its top-tier list. September could be a big month for Sony.
If you’re planning to start your PS Plus subscription or looking for reasons to keep it in your monthly budget, here are some good reasons to do so. Just like other subscriptions, there are different plans offered by Playstation. The key difference is cost, benefits, and cloud streaming access. The different plans offered by Playstation are Essential, Extra, and Premium.
Some key benefits, like online multiplayer access, exclusive discounts, and cloud storage, are available for all three plans. However, the Essential plan does not have access to the PS4 and PS5 game catalog. Also, only Premium allows access to remastered PSX, PS2, and PS3 classics and game trials for their blockbuster game titles. Only Premium membership will allow access to cloud streaming for all Playstation versions.

There have been several successful titles that the Playstation Plus has boasted about since their release back in June 2022. Some of these are Demon’s Souls, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, NBA 2K 22, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Returnal. For September, they are going bigger.

September new releases for Playstation Plus
Note that the games below will be available in their game catalog from September 6 to October 3.
Need for Speed Heat | PS4 – The most recent installment of the NFS arcade racing series. Key factors of the game are focused on street and underground races. It continues to fulfill every car enthusiast’s dream with its highly customizable list of available upgrades and other cosmetics. There is also an option to personalize the driver character of the player, ranging from the default character to an array of outfits and unlockables.
Granblue Fantasy: Versus | PS4 – This 2.5D fighting game was initially released on February 6, 2020. After that, Cygames and Arc System Works (the game developers) updated the game to expand the title’s gameplay. You can play solo or team up with other players against waves of enemies in an action RPG-style combat system. The game also offers an RPG mode for solo players that features an all-new original story.
Toem | PS5 – This was initially released on June 16, 2021. This photo adventure game is like the love child of Pokémon Snap and Life is Strange. This hand-drawn adventure game features relaxing landscapes and poignant sceneries for a chill and light escape from the usual array of stress-inducing games. The biggest fallback of the game is the total run time, averaging about four hours of total playtime.
Extra and Premium game catalog additions
Note that the games below will be available in their game catalog on September 20.
Deathloop | PS5 – a first-person shooter game about two rival assassins that need to unravel the mysteries of a time loop that has trapped them on an island.
Assassin’s Creed Origins | PS4 – an open-world action RPG game dubbed as one of the most successful installments of the Assassins Creed series. Set in a third-person perspective, players are given an array of tasks and quests while basking in the beautiful landscapes of Ancient Egypt.
Watch Dogs 2 | PS4 – an action-adventure game with some stealth-required gameplay. The game is set in a third-person perspective and follows the exploits of a hacker. One of the game’s biggest features is the wide range of vehicles you can use for transportation, like cars, trucks, motorcycles, and even boats.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 | PS4 – an open-world arcade RPG that upgrades every aspect of the gameplay from its predecessor, Dragon Ball Xenoverse. It has improved graphics, more classic characters from the epic anime, and more bosses for players to enjoy.
Spiritfarer: Farewell Edition | PS4 – a management game focusing on the last stages of life. Play as a ferry master tasked with sending the deceased to the afterlife. The management side of the game is farming, mining, and crafting as part of the main quest and side quests of the game.
Chicory: A Colorful Tale | PS4 – a top-down adventure game set in a coloring book world. You play as a painter with mysterious powers that you use to solve puzzles, explore and spread color to the world, and make new friends along the way.
Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 5 | PS4, PS5 – a racing simulation game that lets you play as a Rookie in this recent addition to the Supercross series. You will work your way to being a Pro in the game’s career mode.
Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX | PS4, PS5 – a platform shooting game with a nostalgic touch. The game boasts more immersive gameplay with improved graphics, new modes, levels, and new features.
Rabbids Invasion: The Interactive TV Show | PS4 – an interactive television program where players can interact with 20 episodes taken from the TV show. It offers interactive mini-games.
Rayman Legends | PS4 – a 2D platform fighting game best for co-op online and local players. It offers a list of new unlockable mini-games and even stages from the original Rayman Origins.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition | PS4 – a 2D arcade-style beat ’em up game from the epic comic book series and movie Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. It also offers multiplayer options for quests, mini-games, and the main adventure.
