New Fortnite Sprites September 3

Three new Sprites are expected as part of the Fortnite September 3 update.

The two confirmed community-created additions are Onigiri Sprite and X-Ray Sprite, both selected through Epic Games’ Design-A-Sprite competition.

A third Knight-themed Sprite has also appeared in promotional material, although its final name and ability have not yet been confirmed.

Onigiri replaces the previously announced Bullet Sprite, while X-Ray remains one of the original Design-A-Sprite winners.

The three Sprites are expected to become available from the usual Sprite reset on September 3.

Fortnite Onigiri Sprite

The Onigiri Sprite is one of the biggest new additions in the Fortnite September 3 update.

Created by Enorull, Onigiri replaces the Bullet Sprite that Epic originally selected from the same creator.

The Sprite is expected to have a healing-focused ability, providing additional health when consuming healing items. The exact amount and level scaling are still expected to be confirmed once the update is live.

Fortnite X-Ray Sprite

The X-Ray Sprite is the second Design-A-Sprite winner arriving on September 3.

Its expected ability focuses on enemy information, allowing players to temporarily reveal opponents through walls and other solid objects.

That should make X-Ray particularly useful when fighting around buildings or enclosed locations where players can easily hide behind cover.

What is the new Knight Sprite?

A third Sprite is expected in the Fortnite September 3 update, currently being referred to as the Knight Sprite because of its medieval-looking design.

Unlike Onigiri and X-Ray, this Sprite does not appear to be one of the Design-A-Sprite contest winners.

Its official name, ability and rarity have not yet been confirmed, so those details should become clearer once the September 3 update is live.

New Fortnite September 3 Overrides

The Fortnite September 3 update is also expected to add several new Match Overrides.

Current pre-release information points to at least five new Override effects, with Big Heads and Prop Hunt among the effects already teased.

The remaining Override names and exact mechanics should be confirmed once the update goes live.

Match Overrides have been one of the main features of Chapter 7 Season 4, allowing players to alter normal Battle Royale rules and introduce unusual effects during matches.

Fortnite September 3 Loot Hacks

The Loot Hack pool is also expected to change on September 3.

Several items have been linked to the new Loot Hacks, including:

  • Wrecker Revolver
  • Holo Twister Assault Rifle
  • Tracking Visor
  • Banana of the Gods
  • Rocket Ram
  • Deadeye Assault Rifle

These Loot Hacks give players alternative ways to influence Chest loot and obtain items that may not otherwise appear as normal drops.

The exact availability and drop methods should be checked once the Fortnite September 3 update is live.

Fortnite Wrecker Revolver

The Wrecker Revolver is one of the more interesting weapon additions connected to the September 3 update.

Early information originally referenced a Striker Burst weapon, but Fortnite later corrected that wording and identified the Wrecker Revolver instead.

That makes the Wrecker Revolver one of the clearest standalone weapon articles to prepare ahead of the update.

Its full stats, rarity and exact Loot Hack source should be confirmed on September 3.

Fortnite Holo Twister Assault Rifle

The Holo Twister Assault Rifle is also expected to appear through the September 3 Loot Hack refresh.

The weapon has appeared in Fortnite before, but the new Loot Hack system gives it another route back into Chapter 7 Season 4 gameplay.

Players should expect its exact rarity and availability to become clearer once the update is live.

Fortnite Tracking Visor

The Tracking Visor is another item expected to feature in the September 3 Loot Hack pool.

The Visor is designed around locating or tracking opponents rather than dealing direct damage, making it a utility-focused addition.

Its exact effects and how long enemy tracking remains active should be confirmed once the update arrives.

Fortnite Banana of the Gods

The Banana of the Gods is expected to return through Loot Hacks during the Fortnite September 3 update.

The item provides temporary movement and survival benefits when consumed, making it one of the more unusual utility items returning to the loot pool.

It is also likely to become a popular search topic once players begin seeing it again in matches.

Is Rocket Ram returning to Fortnite?

Yes, the Rocket Ram is expected to return as part of the September 3 Loot Hack changes.

The Rocket Ram is a mobility item that allows players to launch themselves through the air before crashing back down, destroying structures and damaging nearby enemies.

Its return gives players another movement-focused option during Chapter 7 Season 4.

Fortnite OG Season X starts September 3

The Fortnite September 3 update also coincides with the launch of Fortnite OG Season X.

OG Season X brings another major refresh to the OG mode, including new locations, weapons and an updated OG Pass.

The first promotional material points to remixed versions of Ultima Knight, Catalyst and an X-Lord/Rust Lord-inspired outfit among the new skins.

That means September 3 is not just a Chapter 7 Season 4 update. It is also one of the biggest Fortnite OG updates of the season.

When does the Fortnite September 3 update release?

The new Sprite content is expected to become available from 9 AM ET / 6 AM PT on September 3, which is 2 PM BST in the UK.

Some parts of the wider update, including OG Season X content, may follow Fortnite’s normal update and playlist activation schedule rather than appearing at exactly the same moment.

The safest approach is therefore to check the live game throughout September 3 as Epic activates each part of the update.

Is Bullet Sprite in the September 3 update?

Fortnite September 3 Update
Fortnite September 3 Update

No.

Bullet Sprite was originally expected to be one of the Design-A-Sprite winners arriving during Chapter 7 Season 4, but Epic replaced it with Onigiri Sprite.

That means Bullet should not be included in the confirmed Fortnite September 3 update Sprite lineup.

The current lineup is Onigiri, X-Ray and the unnamed Knight-themed Sprite.

What should players look for on September 3?

The biggest things to watch in the Fortnite September 3 update are the new Sprites, the final Match Override list and the exact Loot Hack changes.

Onigiri and X-Ray already give Sprite collectors two new entries to hunt, while the unnamed Knight Sprite should add another once its final details are confirmed.

The Wrecker Revolver and other Loot Hack items also give players several new gameplay options, while Fortnite OG Season X launches alongside the main update.
