Fortnite Reload Siphon Weapons are three health-restoring weapons introduced in the October 8, 2026 Kado’s Curse update. Epic confirms a Siphon Deadeye Assault Rifle, Gatekeeper Shotgun and Monarch Pistol, all exclusive to Nitemare Island’s loot pool. They restore health as you deal damage, making them interesting choices for Reload’s fast, squad-heavy fights.
Finding one isn’t as simple as landing on any Reload map. Nitemare Island is currently one of three islands in both Ranked and Unranked, along with Squid Grounds and Stranger Things. Epic hasn’t published guaranteed spawn locations for the three Siphon guns. Here’s the full list, how to recognise them and what the October 15 update changed.

The naming is important. Epic has also unvaulted ordinary versions of the Gatekeeper Shotgun and Monarch Pistol. Those standard weapons should not be confused with Kado’s Siphon editions. Look for the Siphon prefix when picking up a gun rather than assuming every Gatekeeper or Monarch in the game heals you.
Where to find Fortnite Reload Siphon Weapons
Choose Ranked or Unranked Reload and enter a match on Nitemare Island. Epic’s announcement lists the Kado guns under Nitemare Island-specific loot, not the ordinary unvaulted items shared across the mode. If another island loads, its weapon pool may be different.
Once on Nitemare Island, loot through the match as normal. Epic hasn’t named a guaranteed chest, boss or vending machine for each weapon, and there are no confirmed exact drop percentages. Stay flexible with your loadout until one appears, and avoid treating a particular landmark as an official guaranteed spawn.
How Fortnite Reload Siphon Weapons restore health
Siphon restores health when you damage an opponent with the weapon. You have to connect shots for the effect to help. Simply carrying the rifle, shotgun or pistol will not regenerate your health, and missed shots provide no benefit. It’s useful in back-to-back fights, but it doesn’t replace cover or good positioning.
Epic hasn’t published exact health gained per hit for these Kado variants in its October 8 update. Figures borrowed from previous Siphon items may not apply. Think of the healing as a bonus from accurate damage rather than a fixed amount you can count on before firing.
Kado’s Siphon Deadeye Assault Rifle
The Deadeye is the ranged option in the Fortnite Reload Siphon Weapons collection. Use it when your target is moving between buildings or holding cover at a distance where you can keep landing rifle shots. It can help you recover while applying pressure, but don’t stand in the open just to fire more rounds. Keep a close-range weapon in reserve for opponents who push your position.
Kado’s Siphon Gatekeeper Shotgun
The Gatekeeper is better suited to close-range fights, particularly around doors and staircases. If you land a strong hit, the Siphon effect helps you survive the next exchange. If you miss, however, you’re still exposed at shotgun distance. Fight alongside your squad and have something ready for follow-up damage.
Kado’s Siphon Monarch Pistol
The Monarch is a useful secondary option among Fortnite Reload Siphon Weapons. It suits players who are comfortable with deliberate shots and want a backup when their primary weapon needs reloading. It still depends on accuracy, so don’t keep it solely for the healing effect if you rarely connect pistol shots.
Other Nitemare Island loot alongside Fortnite Reload Siphon Weapons
Epic’s list includes the Cube Splitter Submachine Gun, Cube Rifle, Vampiric Blade, Sideways Rifle, Sideways Minigun, Sideways Scythe, Woodstake Shotgun, Pumpkin Launcher, Witch Broom, Void Oni Mask, Myst Form and Last Call. These are all Nitemare Island-specific additions, but Epic doesn’t describe them all as Kado Siphon weapons.
Reload-wide unvaults include the Shield Keg, Slap Juice, Slap Berry, Slap Splash, Slapperoni Pizza, Morphite Spire Rifle, Nemesis Assault Rifle, Combat Rifle, Tactical Pistol, Monarch Pistol, Gatekeeper Shotgun, Iron Pump Shotgun, Morphite Tactical Shotgun and Deadeye DMR. That gives you plenty of alternatives until you find a special Kado weapon.
Do Fortnite Reload Siphon Weapons drop from The Hunt?
On Nitemare Island, Kado’s The Hunt modifier can assign you another player as a Mark. Eliminating a Mark earns an in-match reward, with new assignments as Storm Circles begin. Epic’s October 15 v42.40 update explicitly expanded Hunt rewards beyond Kado’s Siphon weapons, so hunting a target isn’t a guaranteed way to obtain one of the three guns.
Why Fortnite Reload Siphon Weapons might be missing
First check your selected Reload island. Nitemare Island is required for the Kado-specific loot listed in Epic’s announcement. Next check whether the weapon name actually says Siphon, rather than the standard Gatekeeper or Monarch versions. There is no confirmed character purchase, quest unlock or V-Bucks requirement to obtain one during a match.
If you’re on the right map but haven’t found a particular gun, that’s still possible. Epic hasn’t promised that each weapon appears every game or in every chest. You can continue looting or use another suitable weapon for the rest of the match rather than searching the same spot for a guaranteed drop that hasn’t been announced.

The three Fortnite Reload Siphon Weapons are worth trying when Nitemare Island appears in your rotation. Pick the rifle for ranged pressure, the shotgun for close fights or the pistol for a backup, but don’t rely on health recovery to fix a poor position. Land your shots, keep the squad together and remember that the standard unvaulted weapons are not the Kado variants.
The Fortnite Reload Siphon Weapons require Nitemare Island, not a particular competitive playlist. After the October 19 Squid Grounds-only period, both Ranked and Unranked rotate the same three islands.
