Fallout 76 Mischief Night 2026: Location, Walkthrough and Rewards

Fallout 76 Mischief Night

Fallout 76 Mischief Night runs from October 6 to October 20, 2026, sending players back to Rapidan Camp in Skyline Valley for a Halloween raid led by the Eyebot JES-2R. You’ll light bonfires, vandalise the camp, raid sweet bowls and fight Rapidan’s security robots. This year’s return also features a possible visit from the Uninvited Pint-Sized Phantom, a special boss carrying new Slasher rewards.

The Phantom doesn’t arrive at every event, and its loot is separate from the normal Mischief Night rewards. That makes the final few moments worth watching, particularly if you’re hunting the Wanted Poster plans or the three named weapons. You can still earn the normal Halloween plans even when the guest boss never appears.

Fallout 76 Mischief Night 2026 dates and start location

The event is live October 6–20 and appears at the top of every hour while its seasonal rotation is active. Open the Public Events section of World Activity when a new hour begins, select Mischief Night and travel to Rapidan Camp, Skyline Valley. The original 2019 Mischief Night took place at Whitespring; that is not the current event location.

On the hill beside the camp, find and light the Mischief Pyre to start the action. The group then follows JES-2R through three prank areas before the final security fight. There’s a costume chest near the starting point, but you no longer have to wear a costume to participate.

How to complete Fallout 76 Mischief Night

Keep close to JES-2R so you can see where the next stage begins. The objectives use shared progress bars, meaning you don’t have to complete every prank yourself. If combat is under control but a bar isn’t filling, look for nearby environmental targets instead of standing around waiting for more enemies.

Stage 1: the forest

Follow JES-2R into the woods, light the bonfires, destroy marked objects and fight the Lost. Environmental destruction contributes alongside kills. The next stage won’t begin until the forest’s mayhem bar fills, so spread out slightly and check for any missed bonfire.

Stage 2: cabins and campgrounds

As the group reaches the cabins, start raiding trick-or-treat bowls, spraying graffiti on walls and sticking forks into the lawns. Blowing things up and fighting enemies also helps. With several possible interactions in a small area, this is a good stage to make progress even if other players are clearing all the enemies first.

Stage 3: cliffs and landing pad

Follow JES-2R towards the landing area, where Rapidan robots guard the final stretch. Keep destroying the marked objects and taking candy from bowls until the last mayhem bar is complete. It’s worth reloading and healing before the final fight; the tougher enemies arrive shortly afterwards.

Stage 4: Rapidan Elite Security Force

At the Vertibird landing site, fight the Rapidan Elite Security Force and destroy the targets named by the event, including the aircraft. When the normal event completes, don’t leave immediately. The 2026 version can produce a second fight against the Uninvited Pint-Sized Phantom.

Fallout 76 Mischief Night rewards and returning plans

Completing Fallout 76 Mischief Night can award XP, Caps, food, chems and Halloween C.A.M.P. plans. Returning decorative rewards include the Cauldron Hot Tub, Deathclaw Gargoyle Statue, Hay Bale Throne, Bat Plushie, Jack-in-the-Box Backpack and Spooky Scarecrow outfit pieces. The first-time reward pool also includes the Mischief Night Stein plan and the Goblin player title.

Plan drops vary, so you won’t finish the entire collection in one run. You can repeat Fallout 76 Mischief Night at the next hourly occurrence to work towards more of the standard rewards. The event’s Halloween loot is still awarded normally if the Phantom never spawns.

Uninvited Pint-Sized Phantom location in Fallout 76 Mischief Night

The Uninvited Pint-Sized Phantom may appear after the normal Mischief Night finale as a seasonal Party Crasher. It isn’t a fixed final objective, so the event can end successfully without one. Watch the landing area after the security force is defeated and be ready to attack if the Phantom appears.

Players running Fallout 76 Mischief Night have reported going several completions without seeing the Phantom. Bethesda controls its spawn chance on the server, and no reliable percentage has been confirmed. Don’t confuse ordinary masked Phantoms that appear during the event with the named Uninvited boss; the special reward pool comes from that boss encounter.

Fallout 76 Mischief Night new Slasher rewards in 2026

When the Uninvited Phantom appears, its rare loot pool includes Ghost Boy and two C.A.M.P. decorations: Plan: Pint-Sized Slasher Wanted Poster 1 and Plan: Pint-Sized Slasher Wanted Poster 2. The ultra-rare named weapons are Acceptable Overkill, Commander’s Charge and Crushing Blow. None of these is guaranteed just for finishing the regular public event.

Nuka Knights’ updated 2026 reward breakdown lists 25% combined rare and 10% combined ultra-rare reward chances from the Party Crasher. Those percentages apply to its loot rolls, not the odds that a Phantom will spawn. If you want a Wanted Poster, the routine is simply to join each hourly event, complete it and remain at the landing site long enough to check for the extra boss.

Why Fallout 76 Mischief Night might not appear

The event is seasonal, so it leaves the hourly rotation after October 20. During the active period, check World Activity at the beginning of an hour; arriving later can mean the event has already finished on your server. If it is listed, use the public event marker to reach Rapidan Camp rather than searching Skyline Valley on foot.

No Uninvited Phantom at the end doesn’t mean your run was broken. That fight is random, while the base Fallout 76 Mischief Night objectives and rewards work without it. Complete the event for your Halloween plans, then try the next hourly rotation if you’re still after the Slasher weapons or Wanted Posters.
