Fortnite Halfpeel’d Sprite marks where eliminations have happened on the Treasure Hunters map. As you level it up, its detection range increases, giving you a wider view of where fighting has happened.
That makes it a useful companion for deciding whether to head towards a fight or take a quieter route. The markers tell you where players were eliminated, not where the surviving players went next.
What does Fortnite Halfpeel’d Sprite do?
Halfpeel’d shows elimination locations on the map, and its detection range grows with every level. It’s especially useful when you want a sense of where the action has been without heading straight into it.
An elimination marker gives you a location to investigate. Whoever won the fight may already have moved on, so check your surroundings when you arrive rather than expecting someone to be standing exactly on the marker.

If you’re chasing eliminations, look for activity along the route you’re travelling. If you’re low on shields or carrying valuable loot, the same markers can help you steer clear. Either way, you still decide whether the fight is worth taking.
How to find Fortnite Halfpeel’d Sprite
Start with Wanted Posters, which appear on walls around the Treasure Hunters island. Tear one down to obtain a Sprite Treasure Map. Follow the directions to a buried Sprite Chest, uncover it and open it for a Sprite reward.
This is the season’s general Sprite-hunting route, not a guaranteed Fortnite Halfpeel’d Sprite spawn. Keep checking Sprite Chests as you explore rather than returning to one supposedly fixed location.
The Treasure Hunters map guide helps with the island’s named areas. Our full Sprite roster shows what else you can collect.
How to level up Fortnite Halfpeel’d Sprite
Every level extends how far Halfpeel’d detects eliminations. As that area grows, you can make route decisions earlier, before you’re close enough to hear a fight. Epic hasn’t specified the range in metres, so use what appears on your map rather than assuming a fixed radius.
Treasure Hunters also brings back Sprite mastery rewards. In the season’s Sprite screen, you can view the collection in numbered order and check Sprite Stamps. The View Info option explains what each stamp means, while the Sprite mastery guide covers the broader progression system.
When you’re moving towards the next storm circle, Fortnite Halfpeel’d Sprite can be particularly handy. A cluster of markers ahead may be a reason to approach carefully, change your route or look for cover before entering that area.
Halfpeel’d compared with Exmarks and Wayfinder
Halfpeel’d is the reconnaissance choice for elimination information. Exmarks reveals nearby Treasure Maps and Wanted Posters, and generates a Treasure Map at its maximum level. Wayfinder reveals nearby Sprites and provides extra loot from buried Chests.
If you’re heading into a busy part of the island, Halfpeel’d gives you a little more context before you commit. For a match built around collecting treasure instead, the other two Sprites are better suited to the job.
What do Fortune and Cursed versions do?
Fortune variants reveal nearby Chests. Cursed variants raise your chances of finding rare Sprite variants, but water damages you. Those variant effects sit alongside Halfpeel’d’s elimination-marker ability.
A Cursed Sprite makes routes through water riskier, so keep that in mind when travelling towards the next circle. With Fortnite Halfpeel’d Sprite, the main advantage remains the growing area of map information as you level up.
