2022 Worlds groups day three is here, and that means it’s almost the end of the first round robin. Who will go into the last day, day four, with a positive record, and who will have to go back to the drawing board?

For the regions that have had a good showing so far, what can they improve on, and will they show any new looks? We’ve seen the normal power picks so far, such as Maokai and Kai’sa, but will we see anything new such as Draven or Vi? Will Aatrox continue to be the dominant pick in the top lane, or will someone pick a Jax or Fiora to counter them?

For the teams that have not shown up so far, what will it take for them to finally get a win? Will we see performances or picks that nobody expected, or will they all fall flat on their face, as they have since the beginning of the group stage? Today we will find out.

Yesterday, Korea had a day where they got zero wins in total. Today, during Worlds groups day three, they swept the board, winning every game that they played. The last game of the day, DRX vs Top Esports, was seen as the biggest upset of the day, as DRX was not expected to win the game at all.

T1, another team from the LCK, had a field day against Cloud9. They looked like a well-oiled machine, methodically taking down the North American first seed. For a team that many people in the media had problems in the bottom lane and with a mid-laner that was not as good as his opponents in his group. Today, they seemingly proved them all wrong.

With the return of Faker on Lissandra, Zeus on Aatrox, and Gumayusi on Kai’sa, their team comp just out-ranged and out-damaged what Cloud9 picked in their draft. They ended the game with over a 17 thousand gold difference, had two players that didn’t die once during the game, they didn’t even need the dragon soul to beat their opponents in 25 minutes.

DRX, the team that had the big upset of the day, beat Top Esports in a fashion that didn’t leave an opening for their opponents to get into the game. Despite Jackylove picking his famous Draven, he couldn’t get anything started in the bottom lane, and died after a failed attempt to cash in on the bounty that he had stored up due to his passive.

If the LCK continue to play the way they have, they will be hard to beat and one of the favorites to win the entire thing.
