Dungeon Lootr Expeditions: How to Unlock and Complete Expeditions

Dungeon Lootr Expeditions

Dungeon Lootr Expeditions are the endless Update 3 mode for 1 to 4 players, built around temporary classes, temporary gear and increasingly difficult stages. Every run gives you a new power curve instead of simply importing your normal permanent build unchanged.

The structure is predictable even when the run itself is not: Stat Boons every 3 stages, Modifiers every 5, Okami every 10 and an Expedition Forge that turns Run Coins into temporary power.

Dungeon Lootr Expeditions: stage loop

Checkpoint What happens
Run start Temporary class and temporary gear
Every stage Clear enemies and earn Run Coins
Every 3 stages Choose a Stat Boon
Every 5 stages Choose a Silver, Gold or Prismatic Modifier
Every 10 stages Fight Okami
Between stages Use the Expedition Forge for gear upgrades, rerolls, purchases or salvage

Each player has their own lives, while the team gets one shared revive per run.

how to unlock the mode

Current public Update 3 information does not document a separate hard player-level gate for Expeditions. The mode should appear in a current Update 3 server through the Expedition entry area.

If your lobby still looks like the older build, rejoin a fresh server before treating the mode as account-locked.

choose a difficulty

The three current difficulties are Adventurer, Veteran and Abyssal. Adventurer is the correct first run even for strong accounts because the mode has its own temporary gear economy and revive rules.

Move up only after you can reach Okami consistently without spending the shared revive on ordinary stages.

Dungeon Lootr Expeditions: Run Coins and the Forge

Run Coins are earned during the Expedition and spent at the Expedition Forge. The Forge can buy temporary gear, upgrade it, reroll it or salvage pieces that no longer fit the run.

Run Coins are not Expedition Points. Do not hoard them like permanent currency when a Forge upgrade can keep the run alive.

Dungeon Lootr Expeditions: Stat Boons every 3 stages

A Stat Boon choice appears every three stages. Pick the stat that actually supports the temporary class you are using rather than blindly taking the highest-looking number.

Magic classes want Intelligence-led damage, Physical classes want Strength-led damage, while Vitality or defensive value becomes more important once failure risk starts overtaking clear speed.

Dungeon Lootr Expeditions: Modifiers every 5 stages

Every fifth stage gives a Modifier choice in Silver, Gold or Prismatic quality. Higher quality is attractive, but the effect still needs to fit the current class and gear.

A defensive Modifier that keeps an Okami attempt alive can be worth more than a damage option that only improves easy trash stages.

Dungeon Lootr Expeditions: Okami every 10 stages

Okami is the repeating boss checkpoint. This is where the permanent class-item grind connects to the endless run because Okami can drop the new Update 3 class items.

The fight repeats every ten stages, so surviving deeper runs gives more opportunities without having to restart the entire mode after every boss.

Dungeon Lootr Expeditions: class-item rewards

Shrine Fox, Devourer, Fallen Magi, Petal Captain and Sound Hashira all use Expedition class items. You can get them as Okami drops or buy them from the Expedition Event Shop using Expedition Points.

See Dungeon Lootr Expedition Rewards for the permanent drop list.

Dungeon Lootr Expeditions: best run strategy

  • Use Adventurer until the Forge loop feels automatic.
  • Spend Run Coins instead of dying with unused temporary currency.
  • Build around the temporary class’s main damage stat.
  • Take survivability when one mistake is ending runs.
  • Save the shared team revive for Okami or a deep checkpoint.
  • Coordinate Modifier choices in groups so the party has both damage and safety.

Dungeon Lootr Expeditions: what happens when the run ends

Permanent rewards such as Expedition Points and class items matter after the run. Temporary gear and Run Coins are part of the Expedition’s internal roguelike progression and should not be treated as permanent account equipment.

That split is why a good run is about two goals at once: survive deeper using temporary power and convert boss checkpoints into permanent rewards.
