Diablo Immortal Enigma Latera Guide

Diablo Immortal Enigma Latera Guide

Diablo Immortal Enigma Latera Guide covers the new 5-Star Legendary Gem whose Cruel Enigma effect chains through up to six nearby enemies for three seconds.

Enigma Latera is built around buff-heavy targets: it increases damage dealt to afflicted enemies, reduces the damage they deal back and scales with the beneficial effects they have.

Diablo Immortal Enigma Latera Guide: How Enigma Latera and Cruel Enigma work

Players periodically gain Enigma, causing the next Primary Attack cast to unleash Cruel Enigma. Cruel Enigma can chain through up to six nearby enemies. Diablo Immortal Enigma Latera Guide is most useful for understanding how Cruel Enigma behaves against buff-heavy targets.

The chain remains active for three seconds.

Diablo Immortal Enigma Latera Guide: Damage, defense and beneficial-effect scaling

Afflicted enemies take increased damage from the Enigma Latera user. Those afflicted enemies also deal reduced damage back to the player. For multi-target encounters, Diablo Immortal Enigma Latera Guide highlights the six-enemy chain as one of the gem’s defining mechanics.

The effect stacks according to beneficial effects on the afflicted target, up to a maximum of six stacks. Against another player, Cruel Enigma can siphon several seconds of one non-Skill beneficial effect and grant that effect to the Enigma user for the same duration.

Enigma cooldown and where to get the gem

Enigma cannot be gained more often than once every nine seconds. Enigma Latera is added to the standard Legendary Gem pool. Diablo Immortal Enigma Latera Guide also matters for PvP because Cruel Enigma can siphon a non-Skill beneficial effect.

A Five-Star result from the featured pool has a 50% chance to be Enigma Latera. The featured window runs from September 17 after maintenance through December 17.

Enigma Latera Resonance Gems

Blizzard lists Tundra Blight, Fading Nostrum, Stubborn Oracle, Void Spark and Fated Trail as Enigma Latera Resonance Gems. The nine-second Enigma restriction is important in Diablo Immortal Enigma Latera Guide because the effect is not constantly available.

Diablo Immortal Enigma Latera Guide should be read as a mechanics and acquisition guide rather than a universal class ranking. The temporary Rank 10 trial gives players a better way to judge the nine-second cycle and buff interactions in real combat.

The gem’s featured-pool wording is important: the 50% chance applies when the selected featured pool produces a Five-Star result. It does not mean half of all Legendary Gem pulls automatically become Enigma Latera. Diablo Immortal Enigma Latera Guide should separate the featured-pool boost from the underlying chance of rolling a Five-Star gem.

The featured-pool wording is easy to misread. Blizzard says there is a 50% chance to pull Enigma Latera when the selected featured pool produces a Five-Star gem; it does not say that 50% of every Legendary Gem pull will be Enigma Latera regardless of rarity.

The standard-pool addition also matters after the featured period ends. Enigma Latera remains obtainable through the normal pool, while the September 17-December 17 featured window simply gives players a stronger targeted acquisition route during that period.

The temporary Rank 10 trial gives the gem unusual launch support. Because Cruel Enigma combines chaining, damage amplification, damage reduction, beneficial-effect scaling and a PvP buff siphon, testing the full-rank effect can reveal far more than judging the tooltip alone.

The beneficial-effect interaction gives Enigma Latera a natural difference between targets. An enemy carrying several beneficial effects can contribute more stacks toward Cruel Enigma’s scaling than an unbuffed target, up to the six-stack ceiling Blizzard specifies.

The PvP siphon is also narrower than a generic buff steal. Blizzard specifically describes one non-Skill beneficial effect being siphoned for several seconds and granted to the Enigma Latera user for the same duration.

Resonance support is already published at launch. Tundra Blight, Fading Nostrum, Stubborn Oracle, Void Spark and Fated Trail are the Resonance Gems Blizzard lists, giving players confirmed pairing information even before live class-specific testing settles.

The six-stack ceiling is another important limit. Cruel Enigma can scale with several beneficial effects on the same target, but Blizzard caps that scaling at six, preventing an endlessly increasing bonus against heavily buffed enemies or players.

The temporary Rank 10 trial also makes Enigma Latera easier to judge than a normal new 5-Star gem at launch. Players can test the intended full-rank behavior before deciding whether the featured pool or standard pool is worth their resources.

Blizzard lists these changes in the official Made to Suffer update notes.
