Clash Royale Shocktober 2026: Electro Wizard, Electro Giant Evolution and Event Schedule

clash royale shocktober official

Clash Royale Shocktober is packed unusually tightly, with a new Hero, a free Evolution route and several competitive and experimental modes overlapping across October. That makes the season easy to misread if you only open the game for one event and assume everything follows the same dates. Supercell's schedule spreads the main activities from October 5 into early November, with different reasons to log in depending on whether you care about collection rewards, badges or high-level competition.

The season also mixes permanent progression incentives with short formats that disappear quickly. Hero Electro Wizard can be unlocked with Hero Coins or selected as an Upgraded Pass Royale reward, while Electro Giant Evolution has a free route tied to the Album Event. C.H.A.O.S variants, Spooky Chess, Power Surge and the annual 20-Win Challenge then create separate windows. Knowing which system is attached to which date is the difference between a useful plan and simply noticing rewards after their best acquisition window has passed.

Clash Royale Shocktober is the October 2026 season built around electricity, Halloween and several returning competitive ideas. Supercell's official season post confirms Hero Electro Wizard, Electro Giant Evolution, Shocktober: The Movie, three C.H.A.O.S variants, Spooky Chess, the Power Surge Global Tournament, the 20-Win Challenge and a later community event called Keep the Lights On.

The season begins with Spooky Chess on October 5, while other Clash Royale Shocktober activities start later. The Album Event runs from October 6 to November 2, the C.H.A.O.S window begins October 19, Power Surge starts October 20 and the 20-Win Challenge opens October 26. That staggered structure is worth saving if you plan to chase every badge and reward.

Hero Electro Wizard and Surging Strikes

Hero Electro Wizard is the new Hero attached to Clash Royale Shocktober. His ability is called Surging Strikes and lets him stun two nearby enemies at once for a few seconds. Supercell lists two acquisition routes: spend Hero Coins or choose Electro Wizard as a reward on the premium Pass Royale track. His two-beam Surging Strikes ability costs 2 Elixir to activate.

The two new units use different unlock systems. Clash Royale Shocktober offers a free Album Event route for Electro Giant Evolution. Hero Electro Wizard uses Hero Coins or the premium Pass reward, so players interested in him should check their Hero Coin balance and current Pass Royale track rather than assuming completing the album unlocks both headline additions.

Electro Giant Evolution and the free unlock route

Electro Giant Evolution uses an expanding electric pulse that shrinks and de-levels enemies caught in range. Supercell calls the effect Zap Pack 2.0 and makes the new Evolution the main gameplay reward for completing the Shocktober movie album. That gives Clash Royale Shocktober a clear free progression target even for players who are not buying the upgraded pass.

The full album also awards an emote and tower skin. Because the Album Event lasts until November 2, players have almost the whole season to finish it, but daily battle Snippets are capped. Starting early reduces the pressure of relying on the final week catch-up mechanics or Shop availability for missing pieces.

Shocktober C.H.A.O.S mode schedule

Three C.H.A.O.S variants arrive during Clash Royale Shocktober. C.H.A.O.S Blackout runs from October 19 to October 26, C.H.A.O.S Draft lasts from October 19 through November 2, and C.H.A.O.S Power Surge runs from October 26 through November 2. Supercell says the season adds 20 new cards to the wider C.H.A.O.S pool and also hides another secret badge called Alternating Currents.

Because the dates overlap, players can move between more than one C.H.A.O.S format during the final week. Clash Royale Shocktober therefore becomes busiest after October 26, when Draft and Power Surge overlap with the 20-Win Challenge and the Album Event is still running. Plan badge attempts around those windows instead of assuming each mode gets a separate week.

Spooky Chess and Power Surge competition dates

Spooky Chess runs from October 5 to October 19. The mode brings back the unusual wall of troops and towers setup, and Clash Royale Shocktober offers up to two badges through the league: one for completing the league road and another for finishing inside the top 10,000 on the leaderboard.

Power Surge follows as the Global Tournament from October 20 to October 25. Supercell again attaches an exclusive badge and a top-10,000 Leaderboard Finisher Badge. These are distinct competitive tracks, so strong performance in Spooky Chess does not replace the need to enter Power Surge if you want both sets of season achievements.

20-Win Challenge returns

The annual 20-Win Challenge runs from October 26 to November 2. Clash Royale Shocktober keeps the familiar high-pressure rule: reach 20 wins with fewer than three losses. Supercell confirms an emote reward for reaching the full 20-win mark, making this the season's clearest pure skill challenge rather than a collection or participation grind.

Players who care about the challenge should avoid leaving every other Clash Royale Shocktober objective until that same week. The 20-Win window overlaps the Album Event and multiple C.H.A.O.S modes, so finishing daily collection work earlier leaves more time for serious challenge attempts when October 26 arrives.

Keep the Lights On community event

Keep the Lights On is the community event announced for later in Clash Royale Shocktober. Each day, participants win one battle and choose a reward from the red or blue side of a grid. The chosen side either adds or subtracts energy from a shared community power source, and the amount left at the end determines the community reward.

Supercell has not yet published the full timing and reward grid for Keep the Lights On, so those details should not be invented before the follow-up announcement. The confirmed mechanic is enough to understand the event: individual daily choices feed a shared outcome, and everyone who participates can receive the resulting community reward. Clash Royale Shocktober should therefore be checked again when Supercell publishes the final community-event timing.
