Clash Royale Mirror Evolution: How It Works and How to Unlock It

Clash Royale Mirror Evolution is arriving in the November 2026 King vs. King season with a new way to copy cards. When the last card you played has an Evolution in the game, evolved Mirror creates that evolved version one level higher. You don’t need the original card equipped in an Evolution Slot or even owned in your Collection.

Supercell confirms that Mirror Evolution will come to the Shop from Week 2, with Wild Shards as another unlock method. It works differently from Giant Evolution, which is available through Pass Royale or shards. Here are the exact copying rules, the release window and the reason some mirrored cards will still be regular versions.

How Clash Royale Mirror Evolution Works

Use Clash Royale Mirror Evolution immediately after the card you want to copy. If that card has an existing Evolution, the Mirror produces an evolved copy one level higher. If not, you get a normal one-level-higher copy, just as you would when using the ordinary Mirror card.

Supercell explicitly says a card does not have to be in an Evolution Slot or in your Collection for Mirror to create its evolved version. The important requirement is that an Evolution actually exists for that card in Clash Royale. Mirror does not create new Evolutions for cards that have never received one.

Last played cardResult
Has an EvolutionEvolved copy at one higher level
Has no EvolutionRegular copy at one higher level
Has an Evolution but isn’t in an Evo SlotEvolved copy at one higher level

That means Clash Royale Mirror Evolution can expand which Evolutions you are able to use in one battle. It changes what the Mirror plays, not what is permanently unlocked in your Collection after the match.

How to Unlock Clash Royale Mirror Evolution

There are two confirmed methods for Clash Royale Mirror Evolution: purchase its offer from the in-game Shop beginning Week 2 of November’s season, or unlock it using Wild Shards. Supercell’s October 27 announcement does not provide a specific Shop price or exact release hour.

If the Shop offer is missing in late October or the first week of November, that’s expected before the Week 2 launch. You should also not assume that Crown Tokens from the Royal Market will unlock Mirror. Supercell only names the Shop and Wild Shards, while Crown Tokens have their own event reward system.

Check your Evolution upgrade screen when the card becomes available if you’re planning to use shards. Supercell’s standard Evolution unlock requires six shards, and each Wild Shard contributes one. If you have no Mirror-specific shards, six Wild Shards would complete that standard requirement; if you already have some shards, fill only the missing progress. Check the in-game counter before spending, especially if you’re also considering Giant Evolution.

Can Mirror Copy an Evolution You Haven’t Unlocked?

Yes. Clash Royale Mirror Evolution creates the evolved copy of an eligible last-played card even if you haven’t unlocked or equipped that card’s evolved form yourself. Supercell says the original card doesn’t even need to be present in your Collection for this copying rule to work.

It doesn’t grant the Evolution as a permanent Collection unlock. You are getting an evolved version of the card through the Mirror’s effect during the match. That distinction matters if you’re deciding which cards to unlock normally and which ones you only want to copy on occasion.

Does Mirror Evolution Always Create an Evolution?

No. If the last card played has no evolved form in the game, Clash Royale Mirror Evolution creates the regular card one level higher. This is intended behaviour rather than a bug or a sign that your Evolution unlock failed.

Pay attention to the last card you placed. Mirror copies your most recent card, not whichever Evolution you planned several plays ago. If you deploy a spell or cheap troop after the card you wanted, that new card becomes the one Mirror copies. You can’t select an earlier card from a menu.

Best Ways to Use Evolved Mirror

The flexibility of Clash Royale Mirror Evolution could be useful in decks with more than one Evolution-eligible card. You can choose to follow a defensive play with a stronger evolved copy, or use it to repeat a card supporting your tower push. The exact timing depends on what your opponent has played and the Elixir you can afford.

For example, after playing an eligible defensive unit, you might choose evolved Mirror to reproduce its evolved form at a higher level. But if you spend a spell in between, the spell becomes the last card and the Mirror target. Planning your order is just as important as saving enough Elixir for the copy.

Remember that an evolved copy is not an automatic win. The card still has counters and needs the rest of the deck to make sense. A useful Mirror play is one where you have a clear reason to repeat the previous card, rather than using it as soon as it becomes available.

Clash Royale Mirror Evolution vs. Normal Mirror

Normal Mirror copies the last played card one level higher. Clash Royale Mirror Evolution keeps that level bonus but creates an evolved copy when possible. The additional Evolution effect is the central feature, not a new card selection interface or permission to copy anything from your deck at will.

Supercell hasn’t provided detailed activation cycle figures or every possible edge-case interaction in the season announcement. Don’t copy unconfirmed numeric claims into your build until the game displays the final card rules. What is confirmed is the evolved copy, its extra level and its fallback to the normal copy for cards without an Evolution.

When Does Clash Royale Mirror Evolution Release?

Clash Royale Mirror Evolution arrives in the Shop from the second week of November’s King vs. King season, with Wild Shards as the alternative unlock. It will also be one of the two cards boosted for the whole King of Cards event, which runs November 9 to December 7.

Giant is the other new Evolution. He becomes enraged after taking damage and creates a growing Rage trail for troops following him. If you want stronger supporting pushes, he serves a different purpose. If you want to repeat eligible evolved cards beyond your assigned slots, Mirror is the more flexible option.

The big selling point of Clash Royale Mirror Evolution is that you can use an evolved copy even without putting the original card into an Evolution Slot. Keep that rule in mind when planning your next deck, and check the live Shop for the confirmed offer once Week 2 begins.
