BTD6 Monkey Money doesn’t have to cost real money. The easiest way to build up your balance is to earn new map medals, then look for achievements and events offering Monkey Money. Replaying the same easy map is usually less rewarding than clearing a mode you haven’t beaten before.
This is different from cash earned during a match. Match cash pays for monkeys and upgrades; Monkey Money stays on your account and can be spent on heroes, powers and continues. Don’t mistake a big Banana Farm income for permanent currency.
BTD6 Monkey Money: Best free ways to earn it

Start with maps you already understand and work through the modes you haven’t cleared. A fresh Medium or Hard medal is a better target than replaying the same Easy win. Higher difficulty maps can offer more, but a reward isn’t useful if you can’t complete the run.
Achievements are another source of BTD6 Monkey Money. Open the game’s achievements panel and review the rewards attached to challenges you are close to finishing. Some require particular maps or towers; others progress naturally as you play. Check the reward shown instead of relying on an old list of exact payouts.
Check your daily rewards and any active events for Monkey Money. The rewards aren’t identical every day or in every event, so read the prize list before deciding what to play. A Trophy event, for example, shouldn’t be assumed to pay Monkey Money.
Can you earn Monkey Money by replaying maps?
Replaying a mode still gives you something, but typically much less Monkey Money than the first clear. If you’re saving for a hero, rotate through manageable new medals rather than grinding one comfortable map indefinitely.
A good BTD6 Monkey Money routine is to pick a map difficulty you can win, clear its remaining unearned medals, then move to another map. Avoid jumping to the hardest available challenge merely because its potential payout looks bigger. A loss doesn’t give you the first-clear reward.
Can Discord linking earn 500 Monkey Money?
There’s also a confirmed one-time bonus: Ninja Kiwi offers 500 Monkey Money for linking an eligible Bloons TD 6 account to Discord. On supported clients, head to Social > Friends > Discord and follow the linking steps.
This reward is limited to one claim per Ninja Kiwi and Discord account. Steam, standard iOS and Google Play are among the supported platforms; Netflix, Apple Arcade and console editions aren’t eligible for this linking feature. Check Ninja Kiwi’s official FAQ before trying it.
What should beginners spend BTD6 Monkey Money on?
For most new players, saving towards a hero you’re going to use repeatedly makes more sense than spending the balance on continues. There’s no single perfect first hero for every map, so choose one whose abilities suit how you like to play.
Powers and Insta-Monkeys can help on tricky challenges, but you don’t have to buy them to learn the basics. If you’re working through your first 40 rounds, the beginner guide covers the early Camo, Lead and MOAB threats without relying on purchased consumables.
Does Monkey Knowledge cost Monkey Money?
Some later Knowledge nodes also require Monkey Money as well as Knowledge Points. Check their costs before spending your entire balance. Our Monkey Knowledge guide covers the trees and Update 57 toggles.
Your tower XP cannot be exchanged for BTD6 Monkey Money. XP unlocks upgrades for individual monkey types, while Monkey Money remains an account currency. Likewise, money generated by Banana Farms during a match does not automatically become permanent Monkey Money when you leave the game.
Why is my Monkey Money balance barely moving?
Check whether you’re replaying a medal you already earned, spending Monkey Money on continues, or looking at your in-match cash total by mistake. Also check whether the event you entered awards Trophies, Monkey Money or something else. Those currencies all have different jobs.
For steady BTD6 Monkey Money, aim for unearned medals, claim the rewards you actually qualify for and check achievements you are already close to finishing. You don’t need a dubious farming code or a purchase to make progress.
