BTD6 Black and White Bloons: Immunities and Best Counters

BTD6 Black and White Bloons have different immunities. Black Bloons resist explosions; White Bloons resist freezing. A Zebra Bloon combines both protections. Ordinary sharp attacks from Dart Monkeys or Ninjas are simple counters to all three.

If Bomb Shooters suddenly stop damaging a Black Bloon or your Ice Monkey can’t freeze a White, that’s an immunity issue, not necessarily a lack of power. Give your defence a different damage type instead of spending everything on more cannons or ice.

BTD6 Black and White Bloons: What each colour resists

Black Bloons normally ignore explosive attacks, while White Bloons resist freezing. These properties are separate, so a tower that handles one may fail against the other. Keeping an ordinary sharp attacker on the track makes either colour easier to manage.

Zebra Bloons combine both immunities. When a Zebra pops, it produces one Black and one White Bloon. Those children can keep moving, so your backup towers need enough attack speed and pierce to finish them.

For BTD6 Black and White Bloons, there’s no need to give up bombs and ice entirely. They’re useful against plenty of other Bloons. Just don’t make every tower in your defence vulnerable to the same type of enemy.

Which towers pop Black Bloons?

A Dart Monkey’s normal darts and a Ninja Monkey’s shurikens can pop Black Bloons because they’re basic sharp attacks, not explosions. Many other compatible attacks work too. You don’t need a fifth-tier tower for an ordinary Black layer.

Bomb Shooters still have a job against other targets, especially Lead. Keep them for what they do well and let a different damage source handle Black Bloons. Some upgrades can change an attack’s properties, so check the exact tier before assuming every version behaves alike.

BTD6 Black and White Bloons: How to beat White Bloons

White Bloons resist freezing rather than all damage. Ordinary darts and shurikens can pop them. If you depend on Ice Monkeys to control the track, make sure another tower can damage the White layers that ice can’t stop.

Both Black and White Bloons release faster Pink Bloons when popped. If the outer layer breaks but you’re still losing lives, add enough attack speed or pierce behind your first attacker to clear the children.

The BTD6 Black and White Bloons pairing is a reminder that damage immunity and crowd control are separate jobs. A tower that can slow most enemies isn’t always able to stop every colour, and a tower with high damage may still be ineffective against one protected layer.

Why are Zebra Bloons getting through?

If Zebras are your problem, avoid relying on just explosions and freezing. They’re resistant to both, and each one releases a Black and a White. A sharp attacker with good coverage can handle the outer layer and help clean up the children.

A compatible attacker can still be overwhelmed by a large group. If you’re seeing popped Zebras but leaking the children, check coverage, pierce and firing speed before assuming you need a different damage type again.

BTD6 Black and White Bloons: Camo and Regrow properties

Camo and Regrow are additional properties. Camo means the tower must detect or strip that property before targeting; Regrow lets damaged Bloons rebuild layers over time. Neither changes the underlying Black or White immunity.

A Dart Monkey that handles a normal Black Bloon won’t automatically see a Camo Black. For BTD6 Black and White Bloons, check the colour and any extra properties separately. Our Camo guide explains the detection requirement.

Are DDTs the same as Black Bloons?

DDTs aren’t ordinary Black Bloons. These fast blimps combine Black, Camo and Lead properties. You need detection and attacks that can handle all those properties, plus enough damage to break the blimp.

This is why the Lead Bloons guide and the Camo guide matter later. The tower that beats one special property doesn’t necessarily handle a combination of three.

The simplest BTD6 Black and White Bloons strategy is a mixed defence: keep sharp or other compatible attacks for Black, White and Zebra, then let bombs and freezing handle targets they’re good against. You don’t need every tower to pop everything, but you do need the whole setup to cover each weakness.
