BTD6 Camo Bloons need a tower that can see them or an effect that removes their Camo property. For an early-game solution, a Ninja Monkey sees Camo without upgrades. A Monkey Village with Radar Scanner can give nearby towers that ability too.
The clue is often a Bloon sailing straight past towers that should be in range. It isn’t necessarily too strong for them. They may simply be unable to target it. Standard round 24 is the first early test, with a single Camo Green.
BTD6 Camo Bloons: The first Camo on round 24

Before round 24, put a Ninja Monkey where it can cover a useful section of the track, or check that your chosen tower has its Camo-detection upgrade. Don’t wait until the Bloon reaches the exit to discover the rest of your defence can’t see it.
A Ninja is a cheap, direct answer. Radar Scanner makes more sense once you have several good towers close together that all benefit from seeing Camo. The Village only helps towers inside its radius, so check placement before assuming the whole map is covered.
For BTD6 Camo Bloons, think beyond the first hidden Bloon. Later waves are faster and more crowded. Place detection where your towers have time to fire, and make sure those towers have enough speed and pierce to finish the job.
Which towers can see Camo Bloons?
Ninja Monkeys detect Camo naturally. Other examples include a Dart Monkey with Enhanced Eyesight and a Sniper with Night Vision Goggles. Radar Scanner supplies detection to towers in range, while specific abilities and upgrades can remove Camo from incoming Bloons.
These choices aren’t interchangeable in cost or damage. Night Vision Goggles allows a Sniper to see Camo, but that doesn’t turn every attack into an answer for every other Bloon immunity. Similarly, Radar Scanner provides detection, not extra damage by itself.
There’s also another route: decamo. A Wizard with Shimmer can strip the property so ordinary towers behind it can attack. The important part is positioning that effect far enough up the track for your other attackers to benefit.
BTD6 Camo Bloons: Why won’t my Bomb Shooter attack?
A normal Bomb Shooter doesn’t target Camo just because explosions can hit other Bloons. Give it suitable detection support or have something remove Camo first. Otherwise, the cannon may never fire at the hidden target.
You also need to consider what the attack can damage once it detects the Bloon. The BTD6 Camo Bloons problem is targeting; a Lead or Purple property can create a second problem that detection alone won’t fix. Buying only Radar Scanner won’t make a dart-based attack break Lead.
How do you beat Camo Lead Bloons?
Camo Lead combines two separate problems: detection and damage. A tower must first see the Bloon, then use an attack that can pop Lead. A Ninja that sees Camo still needs the correct upgrades or support to deal with the metal layer.
DDTs take this further, combining Camo, Lead and Black properties with high speed. An early counter that works on a Camo Green or ordinary Lead doesn’t automatically beat one. See our Lead guide for the damage requirement.
What if Camo Bloons are still getting through?
If Bloons still slip through, check whether your tower fires at them at all. No shots usually points to a detection or range problem. Shots that do no damage suggest an immunity. Shots that land but can’t clear the group suggest speed, pierce or positioning.
A useful BTD6 Camo Bloons check is to distinguish cannot see from can see but cannot damage. If the tower never fires, investigate detection. If it fires without popping the layer, investigate the damage immunity. If it fires and still leaks, focus on pierce, speed or placement.
For a first map clear, the beginner guide explains how the round 24 Camo check fits with Lead on 28 and the MOAB on 40. Learning those three threats is more valuable than copying an expensive defence from an unrelated game mode.
For BTD6 Camo Bloons, get detection in place before you need it and make sure the detecting attack can actually damage the Bloon’s other properties. Seeing a target and being able to pop it are two different things.
