Bloons TD 6 Update 57 introduces the S.P.I.D.E.R. Monkey Sniper Paragon and a new Advanced map called Ship Capture. It’s a substantial addition for players who use Sniper-heavy defences, with new targeting options, tougher single-target attacks and changes to the familiar Supply Drop ability.

The original 57.0 update arrived on mobile in early October 2026, and Ninja Kiwi published the full Steam notes on 8 October. The biggest additions are available on the main game branch, but mobile hotfixes and console updates do not always share the same timetable.

The Sniper Paragon is the headline addition, but this patch also changes how players collect Insta Monkeys, adds an Advanced map, introduces a Mastery Mode quest and gives Supply Drop Snipers another attack option. Here’s the breakdown.

What’s newWhat players get
S.P.I.D.E.R. MonkeyA new Sniper Monkey Paragon with powerful single-target attacks and battlefield support.
Ship CaptureA new Advanced map created from community contest winner MrRoostee’s design.
Elite TargetingOther Snipers can follow the Paragon’s selected target or continue firing independently.
Offensive Supply DropA Sniper Monkey x4x option that swaps the usual Cash Drop for an attack-enhancing Ammo Drop.
Insta Monkeys v2Reworked collection with visible featured offers and a recurring Freeplay Challenge.
Mastery Mode questThree tougher quest stages featuring stronger and more fortified Bloons.
Balance and fixesAdditional tower adjustments and quality-of-life improvements detailed in the developer notes.

S.P.I.D.E.R. Monkey: the new Sniper Paragon

S.P.I.D.E.R. Monkey sits on a high watchtower and is designed around powerful single-target damage. Its main rifle shot can bounce to one additional target, while the impact sends out shrapnel. That shrapnel then seeks nearby Bloons and explodes after a short delay, giving the tower another way to handle pressure from a group.

The Paragon fires slowly at first, then speeds up as Bloons approach the exit. Repeatedly hitting the same target raises its firing rate further, making its main attack particularly dangerous against high-health enemies.

Elite Targeting lets your other Snipers follow the Paragon’s target or shoot independently. It also generates automatic Cash Drops and has two abilities: a temporary boost for nearby shrapnel Snipers and a charged shot against the strongest Bloon on screen. Our dedicated S.P.I.D.E.R. Monkey guide explains when each ability helps.

Ship Capture in Bloons TD 6 Update 57

Ship Capture is the new Advanced map designed by MrRoostee, winner of Ninja Kiwi’s community map competition. Its pirate-ship setting has Bloons attacking from both sides as you defend the Captain’s Quarters.

Find Ship Capture in the Advanced map selection. It is a new map to tackle, not a prerequisite for the Sniper Paragon. Clearing it on higher difficulties will take a strategy built for its own layout, rather than one copied from a different map.

Sniper Monkey Supply Drop changes

Bloons TD 6 Update 57 also brings a useful change for players who haven’t unlocked the Paragon. The x4x Supply Drop upgrade now gets an Ammo Swap option. It lets you choose between the usual Cash Drop and an offensive Ammo Drop, rather than treating the ability purely as a way to bring in money.

Ninja Kiwi says the Ammo Drop improves the Sniper’s next few shrapnel attacks, including their damage, pierce, reach and ability to affect Bloon types. The two Supply Drop options share a cooldown, so selecting one is a choice rather than an opportunity to use both in quick succession.

Offensive Supply Drop also makes the Tier 4 Sniper more useful in CHIMPS, where ordinary income generation is disabled. Its offensive option works without turning Cash Drop into free money for that mode.

Insta Monkeys v2 in Bloons TD 6 Update 57

Bloons TD 6 Update 57 also overhauls the way Insta Monkeys are collected. The randomized Insta Monkey packs previously sold as in-app purchases have been removed. In their place, Ninja Kiwi has refreshed the Instas + Powers menu and added a Featured tab with ten visible Insta Monkey deals. Instead of buying an unknown result, players can see the featured offers before choosing one.

In Bloons TD 6 Update 57, those deals unlock across the week, and the lineup changes every two weeks. Some can be obtained through direct purchases, while others can be claimed with Monkey Money after meeting gameplay objectives. The exact offer and requirements can vary, so check what the Featured tab currently shows rather than relying on an old list.

The Featured tab also contains a Freeplay Challenge that resets every two weeks. Everyone tackles the same final-round goal with restricted Heroes and a shared tower limit. Completing it awards a chest with three Insta Monkey choices, two of which are tailored to your collection progress. Your highest Freeplay round is recorded for comparison with friends, but this is not a ranked mode.

The new Mastery Mode quest

Bloons TD 6 Update 57 introduces a three-part Mastery Mode quest. It brings back the idea of stronger, more heavily fortified rounds for players who want an extra challenge. You’ll find it among the game’s quests, separate from the new Ship Capture map.

Balance changes, fixes and other additions

Tower balance changes go beyond the Sniper. Ninja Kiwi extended Ray of Doom’s damage-over-time effect, adjusted Rocket Storm’s cooldown and cost, and increased Heli Pilot Downdraft’s blowback rate. There are other tower and Paragon tweaks in the full developer notes as well.

The update also adds useful options: you can enable or disable individual Monkey Knowledge points you’ve already bought, show numerical ability cooldowns, and turn on Memory Optimization to reduce memory pressure between rounds. Cosmetics can now be randomly selected from your Trophy Store favourites when starting a game.

Update 57 release dates and platform differences

Bloons TD 6 Update 57 arrived on the main game branch in October, but its rollout and later fixes depend on which platform you play. The App Store shows 57.0 on 6 October, followed by 57.1 on 12 October, 57.2 on 15 October, 57.3 on 20 October and 57.4 on 22 October. Those dates describe the App Store listing, not a simultaneous update for Steam, Android, Netflix and consoles.

Ninja Kiwi’s Steam notes say console development follows a different baseline. So a console build displaying an earlier number should not be presented as missing a specific mobile hotfix without checking that platform’s own release information. If an update is not visible on your device, checking that storefront’s version history is more reliable than assuming all editions move together.

What’s next for Bloons TD 6?

Ninja Kiwi has outlined what comes after Bloons TD 6 Update 57, including a new Monkey Tower, the first version of its mod system and more Monkey Knowledge planned for Update 58. Those are plans for the next update, not features available in 57.0. The Sniper Paragon, Mastery quest and redesigned Insta Monkey collection are the changes to play now.

For anyone returning to the game after Update 56’s Skywarden addition, this is a different sort of headline release. Bloons TD 6 Update 57 focuses on a high-damage Military Paragon and a community-designed map, rather than another new base tower.
