Blue Protocol Star Resonance Glinting Stellar Cores come from older-season Backtrack raid bosses and dismantling Far Sea weapons. During the opening of Season 4, Field of Forgotten Illusions can award four Glinting Stellar Cores per week, divided between three bosses. When the new Season 4 raid opens, those Backtrack rewards switch to Undimmed Stellar Cores.
The cores also tie into the Eternal Radiance weapon upgrade system. You can exchange them through Lunel after completing a specific forging achievement, but dismantling your only level 280 Far Sea weapon too early may cost you another reward. Here’s exactly which bosses and weapons provide each core, how the exchange works and what changes later in Season 4.
How to farm Blue Protocol Star Resonance Glinting Stellar Cores in Backtrack raids
Play Field of Forgotten Illusions on Backtrack difficulty. Season 4 combines the older Normal, Hard and Nightmare versions into a single, easier Backtrack mode that supports solo play or groups. Boss rewards replace the previous split difficulty rewards and weekly tasks.
| Backtrack boss | Core reward |
|---|---|
| Boss 1 | 1 Glinting Stellar Core |
| Boss 2 | 1 Glinting Stellar Core |
| Boss 3 | 2 Glinting Stellar Cores |
| Weekly total | 4 cores |
These are the developer’s confirmed rewards before the new Season 4 raid opens. Completing all three bosses earns the full weekly allowance. Running the same old encounter indefinitely won’t bypass the four-core cap, so finish the available boss rewards before trying to repeat it for more.

When do Blue Protocol Star Resonance Glinting Stellar Cores stop dropping from raids?
When the new Season 4 raid opens, older Season 1–3 Backtrack raids start rewarding Undimmed Stellar Cores instead. The boss distribution remains one, one and two, still with a weekly maximum of four. The developer hasn’t published a fixed date for that raid switch in the October patch notes.
Mistborne Chests can still drop after the transition, but they don’t mean the previous core reward remains active. If you’re after Blue Protocol Star Resonance Glinting Stellar Cores specifically, check the live raid reward panel rather than assuming a guide written before the Season 4 raid launch is still describing the current payout.
How to get Blue Protocol Star Resonance Glinting Stellar Cores by dismantling
The developer’s weapon update preview confirms that dismantling a Far Sea series weapon of level 280 or lower produces Glinting Stellar Cores. It does not supply a universal quantity per weapon, so inspect the dismantle preview before confirming rather than expecting a fixed amount from every item.
Think carefully before using your only level 280 Far Sea weapon. At Lunel, the Forge Master, it can instead be upgraded into a level 320 Eternal Radiance weapon. The two paths have different outcomes, and the forging choice introduces a second confirmation prompt.
Blue Protocol Star Resonance Glinting Stellar Cores and Undimmed Cores: the difference
| Source | Result |
|---|---|
| Level 280 or lower Far Sea weapon dismantled | Glinting Stellar Cores |
| Level 320 or higher Eternal Radiance weapon dismantled | Undimmed Stellar Cores |
| Older Backtrack bosses before new S4 raid | Glinting Stellar Cores |
| Older Backtrack bosses after new S4 raid | Undimmed Stellar Cores |
An upgraded weapon follows the new weapon series rule. If you forge a Far Sea level 280 weapon into Eternal Radiance level 320 and then dismantle it, you receive Undimmed Cores. Don’t treat the two types as interchangeable just because both come from raids and weapon dismantling.

Where to spend Blue Protocol Star Resonance Glinting Stellar Cores with Lunel
The Season 4 weapon preview introduces the permanent achievement Eternal Radiance: Reforging. Forge a Far Sea weapon into an Eternal Radiance weapon to fulfil its requirement. This unlocks an exchange from Glinting Stellar Cores into Stellar Core Drifts at Lunel, the Forge Master.
Stellar Core Drifts can buy Meowlux Premium Cards, S1–S4 Exquisite Materials Select, Will Wish Coins and Excellent Module Select rewards in the associated shop. The official preview doesn’t list exact exchange ratios or shop prices, so check those in the current interface rather than following an invented cost table.
Before dismantling weapons for Blue Protocol Star Resonance Glinting Stellar Cores
There is another permanent achievement called Memory of the Far Sea. Equipping a level 280 Far Sea weapon unlocks the Memento: The Far Sea weapon appearances for every class, a voucher for a future Spirit Echo and two exclusive crafting materials. Check your achievement progress before dismantling the only weapon that qualifies.
If you still want an Eternal Radiance weapon, keep a suitable level 280 Far Sea weapon for Lunel’s forging route. Players who already earned the appearance achievement and have a spare older weapon can evaluate dismantling it for Blue Protocol Star Resonance Glinting Stellar Cores instead. The choice depends on whether you need the weapon, appearance achievement or core currency more.
Why Blue Protocol Star Resonance Glinting Stellar Cores might not be dropping
Three checks solve the most common confusion. First, the older Backtrack raid has a weekly core limit of four. Second, its rewards change to Undimmed Cores after the new Season 4 raid launches. Third, dismantling Eternal Radiance gear yields Undimmed Cores, while Far Sea gear of level 280 or lower yields Glinting.
For other Season 4 materials, our Oath Dust and Oath Silk guide covers Chaotic Realm cosmetics. Those materials come from another reward system and aren’t substitutes for Blue Protocol Star Resonance Glinting Stellar Cores. Check the exact item in your inventory before planning an exchange.
