Black Ops 7 Ultra Rarity Weapon is the Season 6 Rogue Run upgrade that pushes a weapon one rarity step beyond Legendary. It becomes eligible for the run once you reach Relic Tier II, which means the real unlock route is not a hidden wall buy or a map-specific Easter egg. You need enough active Cursed Relic value to reach Tier II, then survive and keep choosing rewards until the Ultra rarity option appears.
Black Ops 7 Ultra Rarity Weapon should also be kept separate from Pack-a-Punch. Weapon rarity and Pack-a-Punch level are two different upgrade tracks. Season 6 adds Ultra rarity at Relic Tier II and Pack-a-Punch IV at Relic Tier III, so a fully developed late-run weapon can benefit from both systems rather than treating one as a replacement for the other.
Black Ops 7 Ultra Rarity Weapon: reach Relic Tier II first
To put Black Ops 7 Ultra Rarity Weapon upgrades into the Rogue Run pool, build the Relic meter to Tier II. Grim Relics add one third of a tier, Sinister add two thirds and Wicked add a full tier. Any combination totaling two complete tiers is enough. The Curse Inducer can add random Cursed Relics during the run if your starting setup is below the target.
Because the Curse Inducer is random, there is no universal number of activations for Tier II. Watch the meter. When Tier II is reached, the run announces the stronger reward access and Ultra rarity becomes available. Black Ops 7 Ultra Rarity Weapon is then a possible upgrade, not an automatic instant drop.

Ultra rarity is above Legendary, not Pack IV
Legendary is the normal rarity ceiling players are used to seeing before Season 6 Rogue Run progression opens the next step. Black Ops 7 Ultra Rarity Weapon raises that rarity track. Pack-a-Punch IV raises the separate Pack-a-Punch track. A weapon can therefore care about rarity and Pack level at the same time.
That distinction matters when deciding which pedestal to choose. If your weapon is already strong on Pack level but still Legendary, the Black Ops 7 Ultra Rarity Weapon option can be the more valuable improvement. If the weapon is already Ultra but behind on Pack-a-Punch, an Aether Crystal or Pack upgrade may provide the more useful next step.
How much Ultra rarity costs in live Rogue Run
Live Cursed and Rogue Run progression places the Ultra rarity step at 8,000 Salvage above Legendary. From a Common starting point, the full rarity climb costs much more because every earlier rarity step still has to be paid or earned first. Black Ops 7 Ultra Rarity Weapon is therefore easiest to exploit when the run has already given you a weapon worth committing resources to.
Do not throw an Ultra upgrade onto a weapon you expect to replace immediately. Rogue Run regularly offers weapon rewards, Ammo Mods and other build changes between rounds. Black Ops 7 Ultra Rarity Weapon becomes more valuable once your main gun, attachments and damage plan are settled enough that the upgrade will remain useful for the late run.
Best time to take the Ultra rarity upgrade
Tier II arrives before Pack-a-Punch IV, so Black Ops 7 Ultra Rarity Weapon can serve as the bridge between a stable mid-run build and the final Tier III power jump. Take it when your weapon is already handling the current enemy pressure well enough to justify keeping it. If you are still surviving on a poor random pistol or an awkward reward weapon, a better gun may matter more than upgrading the wrong one.
Also account for the active Cursed Relics. Tier II means the run is carrying meaningful restrictions. Damage is only useful if your build can still function under those rules. Black Ops 7 Ultra Rarity Weapon pairs especially well with a plan that already covers armor, ammo and crowd control rather than relying on raw damage alone.
Ultra rarity and the Tier III endgame
Once Black Ops 7 Ultra Rarity Weapon is online, the next Relic milestone is Tier III, where Pack-a-Punch IV becomes available. That gives the late Rogue Run a clear progression ladder: Tier I for Golden Armor, Tier II for Ultra rarity and Tier III for Pack IV. You do not need to wait for Tier III before benefiting from Ultra.
If you are chasing a 15-round Tier III Calling Card, try to secure the Black Ops 7 Ultra Rarity Weapon upgrade before the qualifying grind becomes dangerous. Tier III adds stronger rewards, but it also means more Cursed Relic value is active. Arriving there with an already upgraded weapon makes those 15 rounds much more manageable.
