Black Ops 7 Rex Infernus Corrupted TR2 is the marksman-rifle branch of the Corrupted Legacy Weapon side quest. Buy the M34 Novaline wall weapon in the Dravakar area to select the TR2 reward, then satisfy the three-other-weapons Pack-a-Punch requirement before triggering the rain stage.
Like the Olympia route, Black Ops 7 Rex Infernus Corrupted TR2 becomes unstable before it becomes safe to keep. After the HVT Web Mother dies, the wall buy gives the weapon for free, but you need to take it directly to Pack-a-Punch to remove the unstable health-drain state.
Black Ops 7 Rex Infernus Corrupted TR2: quick answer
- Buy the M34 Novaline wall weapon to choose TR2
- Pack-a-Punch three different weapons other than the Novaline
- Use the Rain Pool to trigger the correct rain/spider round
- Create Astral Flame at the Nexus Forge
- Throw the flame at the glowing Novaline wall buy
- Kill the spawned HVT Web Mother
- Claim the free unstable Corrupted TR2
- Take it straight to Pack-a-Punch to stabilize it
- You cannot also claim Corrupted Olympia in the same game
Black Ops 7 Rex Infernus Corrupted TR2 is easiest to handle when you treat the steps above as one sequence rather than separate mysteries. The details below explain where each interaction happens, what actually advances the objective and the mistakes that most often waste a round.
Select the TR2 branch with M34 Novaline
The first Black Ops 7 Rex Infernus Corrupted TR2 decision is made at the wall buy. Purchase the M34 Novaline around Dravakar Sanctuary if the TR2 is the weapon you want. Buying the M10 Breacher instead sends the shared side quest toward Olympia.
This matters because the quest is one-per-match. Decide before spending time on the Pack-a-Punch and weather requirements so you do not end up completing the setup for the wrong reward.
Black Ops 7 Rex Infernus Corrupted TR2: Complete three other Pack-a-Punch upgrades
Black Ops 7 Rex Infernus Corrupted TR2 does not trigger from upgrading the Novaline repeatedly. Pack-a-Punch three other unique weapons, then prepare the Veytharion Rain Pool. On the correct rain/spider round, the selected Novaline wall buy should glow to show that the prerequisite registered.
If it does not glow, verify the three upgraded guns were genuinely different weapons and that the weather state is active. A normal clear-weather round is not the correct time to judge whether the trigger worked.
Astral Flame and HVT Web Mother
Create Astral Flame at the Nexus Forge before pushing the Black Ops 7 Rex Infernus Corrupted TR2 trigger. Grapple a purple orb into Pack-a-Punch, surge the Nexus and carry the purple fire to the glowing wall buy. Hitting it with the flame spawns an HVT Web Mother.
Kill the HVT with the same discipline used against a normal Web Mother: head shots, open movement space and strong elemental damage. Once the Elite dies, return to the wall and claim the free unstable TR2.
Stabilize the Corrupted TR2 immediately
The unstable Black Ops 7 Rex Infernus Corrupted TR2 is not something to carry around while finishing another temple. It drains health and restricts your weapon handling until it is stabilized. Move directly to Pack-a-Punch and use the free stabilization interaction.
After stabilization, the Ultra-rarity rifle is yours for the match. Missed shots still have a health-cost quirk, so aim deliberately and use the weapon where the marksman-rifle profile can actually land consistent hits.
Black Ops 7 Rex Infernus Corrupted TR2: common questions
Which wall buy gives Corrupted TR2?
Use the M34 Novaline wall buy in the Dravakar area.
Do the three Pack-a-Punches include the Novaline?
No. The documented route calls for three other unique weapons.
Why does the unstable TR2 hurt me?
That health drain is part of the unstable Corrupted state. Take the weapon directly to Pack-a-Punch to stabilize it.
Can I get both Corrupted Legacy Weapons?
No. Corrupted TR2 and Corrupted Olympia share the same one-per-match side-quest slot.
Black Ops 7 Rex Infernus Corrupted TR2: what to remember
Black Ops 7 Rex Infernus Corrupted TR2 follows the same state machine as the Olympia branch but starts from the Novaline. Three other Pack-a-Punches, rain, Astral Flame, the Web Mother HVT and immediate stabilization are the full route.
The useful way to approach Black Ops 7 Rex Infernus Corrupted TR2 is to follow the live interaction order, watch for the game-state cues described above and retry a failed step on the next round rather than forcing an old or pre-launch solution into the current build.
