Astronomer’s Journey Star Path Duties and Rewards in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Astronomer's Journey Star Path duties and rewards

Astronomer’s Journey Star Path duties and rewards are now fully visible in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The permanent introductory event contains 15 main duties, three routine duties and two reward pages, with a total of 650 Star Pieces available across the complete task set.

Unlike a normal seasonal Star Path, Astronomer’s Journey Star Path duties and rewards do not come with an expiry date. Merlin introduces the track during On the Path of Stars after you unlock your first Realm and place the Event Board, so you can work through the tasks at your own pace.

These 15 main Astronomer’s Journey Star Path duties and rewards award 550 Star Pieces in total. They are not a weekly sequence, so the live permanent track is different from early pre-release expectations that suggested rotating Week 1 seed duties.

Astronomer’s Journey Routine Duties

There are also three extra routine tasks attached to the Astronomer’s Journey Star Path duties and rewards. They are available as part of the permanent introductory track and add another 100 Star Pieces.

The backpack routine duty cannot be finished until you reach Page 2 and claim the Astronomer’s Apprentice Backpack. That makes it normal for this objective to sit unfinished while you are still clearing the first rewards page.

All Astronomer’s Journey Rewards

The reward side of Astronomer’s Journey Star Path duties and rewards contains 12 items across two pages. Page 2 unlocks after you redeem four of the six Page 1 rewards.

Buying every item in the Astronomer’s Journey Star Path duties and rewards costs 650 Star Pieces, matching the 550 available from the main duties plus 100 from the three routine duties. That is why completing the entire task list gives you enough currency to clear the permanent reward track.

How to Unlock Astronomer’s Journey

Before you can work on the Astronomer’s Journey Star Path duties and rewards, unlock at least one Realm and speak to Merlin. His On the Path of Stars quest gives you the Event Board, asks you to place it near your house and then directs you into Astronomer’s Journey.

The first duty is placing the Event Board itself. Claim those Star Pieces, redeem your first reward and continue Merlin’s quest. Later quest stages ask you to complete four duties, unlock the second reward page, equip Astronomer clothing and claim the complete reward set.

Does Astronomer’s Journey Expire?

No. The biggest difference between Astronomer’s Journey Star Path duties and rewards and a standard Star Path is permanence. Gameloft describes Astronomer’s Journey as an introductory Star Path that remains available, so there is no reason to rush the whole list before the Season of Scares event ends.

That also makes this page useful as a long-term checklist rather than a one-week event guide. If a task is not registering, check its wording in the live Duties tab and make sure the action is being performed in Dreamlight Valley rather than assuming the event has expired.

For the first-party update details and event timing, see the official Season of Scares update notes.
