ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset lets you refund all your spent skill points and build your Raider again. The reset costs 2,000 Coins for each allocated point, meaning a fully spent standard 76-point tree costs 152,000 Coins to redo. The option is available inside your Skill Tree in Speranza, and it is the way to change the new either-or branch choices introduced by Frozen Trail 2.0.
The October update rearranged the tree, buffed several abilities and added decisions that prevent you from taking every skill within a branch. If you chose an ability that doesn’t suit your playstyle, a full respec gives you those points back. Here’s how the reset works, what it costs, which choices you can change and what stays on your character afterwards.
How to use ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset
Return to Speranza, select the Raider tab and open Skill Tree. The Reset Skill Tree control sits at the bottom of the skills screen. On PC the default shortcut is commonly shown as R, while controller prompts and custom keybinds may differ. Open the confirmation prompt and inspect the Coin cost before agreeing.
Confirming the ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset removes your spent points from all three branches and returns them to your unallocated pool. This does not require you to start an Expedition or level your character from the beginning. You can immediately redistribute the refunded points across Conditioning, Mobility and Survival.
Before paying, take a screenshot of your existing build or note which abilities you intend to keep. You cannot select just one node to undo without affecting the rest of the tree. Rebuilding the skills you still like first will make it easier to see how many points remain for your new path.

ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset costs at every point total
Embark introduced the paid reset with Cold Snap Update 1.7.0 and officially set the rate at 2,000 Coins per spent skill point. It is not a flat fee. With fewer points invested, your reset costs less; with more allocated points or bonuses from Expeditions, the displayed amount is higher.
| Allocated points | Coins to reset |
|---|---|
| 10 | 20,000 |
| 20 | 40,000 |
| 30 | 60,000 |
| 40 | 80,000 |
| 50 | 100,000 |
| 60 | 120,000 |
| 76 | 152,000 |
A standard Raider can have 76 points at the full baseline skill allocation, making the ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset price 152,000 Coins when every one is allocated. Expedition bonuses can increase your available point budget; check your own confirmation screen if your total is higher or if a newer balance update changes the fee.
Plan your new allocation before spending; a second reset on the same day can be expensive. Our Skill Tree 2.0 guide explains the new branch layout and gives you a starting point for thinking about what your character should actually be good at.
Can ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset refund just one skill?
No. The current reset refunds the whole tree, not a single point or one branch. If you’re unhappy with an ability in Survival but want to keep everything in Mobility, you will still have to reset your entire allocation and put the old Mobility points back in afterwards.
That means your ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset spending should have a clear purpose. Work out which alternative you want and what prerequisites lead to it. A quick plan can prevent accidentally rebuilding the same problem into the new layout, particularly when you have several capstones to account for.
How ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset changes the middle choice
Frozen Trail changed the middle of each branch into a choice between two skills. You can only have one of those two at a time. Community skill-tree records put the requirement at ten points invested in that branch, while Embark confirms the either-or structure in its official 2.0 patch notes.
The ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset lets you return to that decision and choose the opposite option. It cannot unlock both midpoint skills simultaneously. Consider what you need in your regular raids: movement and stamina management, looting efficiency or survivability, depending on your preferred branch.

End-of-branch choices after ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset
The end of each branch now features two choice nodes, each drawing from three available skills. You can pick up to two of the three after investing enough points. Current community skill planners agree on gates of 30 and 40 points invested in the branch. You also spend a point on each selected end skill, so allowing for 31 or 41 total points is helpful when planning a full build.
If you invest 40 points in one branch, that leaves only 36 from the standard 76 for both other branches. The ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset gives you the freedom to build differently, but the total budget still forces trade-offs. Reaching the second capstone may be worthwhile for a specialised role, yet it can also make your other skills feel underdeveloped.
A movement-focused Raider exploring Pendola Pass may want to allocate differently from someone preparing to fight a Rocketeer or the Frozen Trail ARC enemies. Spend for your common situations instead of relying on a single generic build.
Skills worth reconsidering in Frozen Trail 2.0
Embark specifically buffed three familiar abilities: Fight or Flight gained roughly 25% more stamina per rank, Stubborn Mule’s stamina regeneration values rose around 33%, and Back on Your Feet now heals 40 instead of 30. Their usefulness may have changed significantly compared with the old tree.
The ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset makes it possible to account for those changes, but none of the skills is mandatory. Stamina bonuses are attractive when you’re frequently crossing large maps, while recovery can matter more when you expect sustained fights. Look at the full branch, not just one buffed passive, before committing your points.
Did Frozen Trail 2.0 refund your skill points?
Yes. When Frozen Trail rebuilt the skill tree on October 8, existing allocations were refunded so players could rebuild against the new nodes. That automatic reallocation at launch was different from buying a new reset. If you have already assigned your refunded points and want to change them again, use the regular ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset option and pay the displayed Coin fee.
It also matters which version of a build guide you are following. Older routes may refer to skills removed or moved in 2.0. The new midpoint choice appears after investing ten points in a branch. Current planners list the first and second end choices at 30 and 40 invested branch points, with the selected nodes requiring their own points. Look at each live prerequisite before spending the last few points of a new build.
One separate Frozen Trail issue can make Field Repair appear unavailable after you unlock it. Embark’s notes identify restarting the game as a workaround. Try that before paying for another ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset purely because Field Repair has not become usable.
Is ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset the same as an Expedition?
No. A normal respec changes the tree and costs Coins. An Expedition can reset much more of your character’s progression and equipment while awarding permanent bonuses under its own rules. The regular paid option is the one to use if your only goal is rearranging skills.
Expedition rewards can grant extra skill points, and those may alter your budget when rebuilding. They also have implications outside your tree. There’s no need to risk broader progression changes when the ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset control can handle an ordinary build adjustment in Speranza.

How to fund your next ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset
Set aside the Coins you’ll need before selling everything you own. A few steady loot runs can be more reliable than hunting a single high-value item in a dangerous location. Keep materials required for the Workshop upgrades or Outpost expansion so you aren’t buying back progression later.
If you’re short on Coins, choose familiar extraction routes such as the Dam Battlegrounds loot run or Riven Tides farming areas. Avoid bringing expensive specialist gear simply to earn the cost of changing your skills. A safe extraction with saleable loot moves you towards the reset without creating another loss.
