ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot comes from everything from the industrial power plant to medical rooms, laboratories and abandoned apartments. The richest building isn’t necessarily the one you need: a Dam Control Tower run does little for someone trying to find residential materials for Scrappy.
Dam Battlegrounds also punishes poor extraction planning. A few minutes spent searching an extra building can leave you with a full backpack and a closed elevator. Here are the places worth visiting for each kind of loot, the keys needed for locked rooms, and the four normal extraction lifts.
ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot locations by type
| Location | Loot worth checking | Extra information |
|---|---|---|
| Research & Administration | Medical and technological containers | Dam Staff Room Key |
| Control Tower | Security and technological containers | Dam Control Tower Key |
| Generator Hall | Industrial and mechanical salvage | Northern complex |
| Power Generation Complex | Industrial and mechanical parts | Near northern elevator |
| Hydroponic Dome Complex | Mixed supplies and plants | Northern alternative |
| Testing Annex | Commercial and medical loot | Dam Testing Annex Key |
| Water Treatment Control | Technological and utility containers | Dam Surveillance Key |
| Pale Apartments and Ruby Residence | Household and residential loot | Useful for Scrappy |
| Controlled Access Zone | High-value locked rewards | Fuel Cell, four switches and item deposit |
The ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot categories describe what to look for, not guaranteed item drops. A Medical-labelled area is a good place for medical salvage, but you may need multiple raids to find a particular part. Control Tower, Research & Administration, Generator Hall and Power Generation Complex show orange loot zones on the map, while Red Lakes is red.

Research & Administration: medical and technological loot
Research & Administration is one of the best ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot stops when you need more than one type of component. Search the desks, storage and medical containers while staying aware of the routes leading towards Control Tower. The Medical Merchandise quest also brings players into a medical room here. Don’t spend the whole raid waiting for an exact item to roll.
If you’ve found the Dam Staff Room Key, the locked door is in Research & Administration. It’s distinct from the Control Tower room. Our Dam Battlegrounds keys guide covers all the named keys and their matching doors, which matters when you’re travelling with limited inventory space.
Control Tower: valuable loot, exposed approach
Control Tower is one of the busier ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot locations thanks to its Security and Technological containers; the Dam Control Tower Key opens an additional locked room. That doesn’t mean it’s a good place to climb while another squad is fighting above you. Listen before entering and keep a route back down. The upper approaches can give waiting players a strong position.
A safer ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot route can start with Research & Administration, then continue into the tower only when it’s quiet. If the tower is busy, taking the materials you’ve already found to the swamp exit may be a better result than forcing a fight.
Generator Hall and Power Generation Complex
The northern ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot areas suit industrial and mechanical requirements, including several workshop upgrade materials. Generator Hall and Power Generation Complex can be visited in the same northern loop. North Complex Elevator is the main exit to check when you’re done, but look at the map before relying on it.
You can extend this ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot run into Hydroponic Dome Complex if the first two buildings are empty. Its mixed containers provide an alternative route, and there’s no need to cross the full map to visit Testing Annex when you’re only short on industrial salvage.
Testing Annex, Water Treatment and residential areas
Testing Annex is among the ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot locations worth checking for medical materials, sitting near Red Lakes in the southeast with Commercial and Medical labels. It has a locked room for the Dam Testing Annex Key, but regular containers are available without one. Red Lakes Balcony Lift is the nearby main extraction. Check whether it’s still active before spending too long indoors.
Water Treatment Control is west of the central complex and has a locked Surveillance Room, opened with the Dam Surveillance Key. Both Water Treatment Elevator and Central Swamp Lift are useful exits to consider from here. If you need a Dog Collar or Cat Bed instead, search residential buildings such as Pale Apartments and Ruby Residence.

ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot: Controlled Access Zone: the Dam’s special loot puzzle
The Controlled Access Zone is a separate high-value challenge near Power Generation Complex. Inside, a Fuel Cell must be placed to unlock access to one of four switches. Those four switches have to be activated close together to open the first door. It’s difficult to do with a normal three-person squad without coordination.
Another door then requests materials, which vary by match. They may include ARC Powercells, Metal Parts, Motors or harder-to-find components. For ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot farming, treat the Controlled Access Zone as its own expedition rather than a quick stop when your only goal is a few basic crafting parts.
ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot: main extraction locations
| Main extraction | Where it is |
|---|---|
| North Complex Elevator | Northern power complex |
| Central Swamp Lift | Western-central swamp |
| Water Treatment Elevator | Beside Water Treatment Control |
| Red Lakes Balcony Lift | Southeast beside Testing Annex |
The four Raider Hatch exits are Sunroof, Pump House, Spillway and Good Old Baron’s Hatch. Hatches require a Raider Hatch Key; normal elevators don’t. Embark says the main exits available to you decrease as the raid progresses. Don’t keep looting until the only working exit is on the far side of the map.
ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot: Simple Dam Battlegrounds routes by spawn
| Spawn | Suggested search order | Exit to check |
|---|---|---|
| North | Generator Hall → Power Generation → Hydroponic Domes | North Complex Elevator |
| Central | Research & Administration → Control Tower if clear → Water Treatment | Central Swamp Lift or Water Treatment Elevator |
| South | Testing Annex → nearby commercial or medical loot → Water Treatment | Red Lakes Balcony Lift or Water Treatment Elevator |
These are routes to adapt rather than a fixed checklist. ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot containers may already be empty and other players can change a quiet trip into a fight. Check for an open elevator as you move, and turn around once you’ve found your required items. That usually beats travelling across the map just to reach a famous location.
Which loot route is best for upgrades?
For Medical Lab components, start in Medical-labelled places such as Testing Annex or Research & Administration. For mechanical crafting parts, check Generator Hall and Power Generation. For Scrappy’s household materials, the residential buildings are better. It pays to choose a destination based on your actual upgrade costs instead of a generic best-loot ranking.
If the Harvester condition is active, there’s another high-risk objective involving the Queen and a three-core puzzle. That’s covered in our Harvester walkthrough. You don’t have to fight the Queen on an ordinary ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot run.
How to leave with your loot
Carry enough ammunition and healing to survive an extraction countdown. Elevators make noise, and other raiders may come to investigate. A Raider Hatch Key provides a separate exit choice, but it’s an item with its own acquisition cost. If your bag contains a rare blueprint or the final item for an upgrade, head home rather than trying for another building.
One trick when looking for ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot is to treat keys as route-specific equipment. The Control Tower, Staff Room, Surveillance and Testing Annex keys open different doors. If you aren’t going to that building, the key has no use on that raid. Store it safely for a route where it actually saves you time.
ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot locations: quick checklist
Pick your material category, search the nearest matching buildings, open locked rooms only with their correct keys and check the active extraction points. When you’ve found what you needed, leave. Short successful runs build your workshop faster than one spectacular haul that never gets back to Speranza.
A separate set of Field Depots is dotted around the map, including locations near Hydroponic Dome Complex, Power Generation, the central route and South Swamp Outpost. These are useful optional stops when one lies directly on your path. Don’t chase all six across the map just because another guide lists them as possible loot sites.
If you hear a Rocketeer above a narrow approach, avoid fighting it purely to reach another crate. You can still build a profitable raid by changing to a quieter set of containers. Keep the terrain between you and its rocket fire, and don’t let a wandering machine push you into a predictable elevator approach.
A good way to learn the Dam is to practice just two routes: Generator Hall towards North Complex Elevator, and Testing Annex towards Red Lakes Balcony Lift. Once those paths feel familiar, work towards the central Research & Administration area. Knowing the exits makes loot decisions much easier.
Some map conditions add extra caches, dangerous ARC or weather effects. Check the condition before you enter. The ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds loot you can get during a special event may justify another loadout, but basic medical and industrial routes don’t have to depend on a timed condition.
