ARC Raiders Amplified Fragments: Anvil Splitter Farming and Repairs

ARC Raiders Amplified Weapons

ARC Raiders Amplified Fragments repair weapons that have reached the fifth, Amplified upgrade tier. You can obtain them by recycling retired Anvil Splitter mods or certain unwanted amplified guns. You can also obtain them by recycling a spare Amplification Module, provided that Mark isn’t needed for your next weapon upgrade. The easiest first step is to check your stash for a retired Anvil Splitter, which Embark says should no longer drop after the Frozen Trail update.

Amplified guns have bigger durability pools and powerful extra abilities, but keeping them repaired takes more than ordinary materials. Fragments repair Amplified Weapons; Modules unlock amplification. Both are worth collecting, but they aren’t interchangeable. This guide covers confirmed sources, item yields, repair requirements and what happened to the Anvil Splitter after October 8.

How to get ARC Raiders Amplified Fragments fast

Check your inventory for an old Anvil Splitter first. Before Frozen Trail, it was an Anvil Tech Mod. Update 2.0 removed that mod slot and converted Splitter into an upgrade option on the Amplified Anvil. Embark says remaining old items can be sold or recycled into the material used for amplified repairs.

Community item records show a retired Anvil Splitter returns five fragments from recycling or two from salvaging. That’s an important difference, especially if you need to repair a favourite weapon. Check the return preview before confirming the action, and don’t go looking for newly dropped Splitters: the developer says the obsolete mod should stop spawning.

Another route for ARC Raiders Amplified Fragments is recycling an amplified gun you no longer need. Yields depend on its weapon type and installed nodes, and the in-game preview will show the return before you confirm. Current item breakdown records show seven Fragments when recycling an Amplification Module. Confirm the return in the inventory preview before dismantling one, and keep any Mark you might need for another gun.

Item recycled or salvagedReported fragments returned
Retired Anvil Splitter, recycle5
Retired Anvil Splitter, salvage2
Amplification Module Mk. I–V, recycle7
Amplified Anvil, recycle7 before extra nodes
Amplified Anvil with Splitter node, recycle13

The figures above come from current community item records rather than an official complete drop chart. ARC Raiders Amplified Fragments are an Epic material, with a listed stack limit of 50, weight of 0.5 kg and 500-Coin sell value. Repairs often justify keeping them instead of selling them.

ARC Raiders Amplified Fragments from the old Anvil Splitter

The old Splitter modification fired extra projectiles at reduced damage. It no longer attaches to the Anvil like a normal weapon mod. With Frozen Trail, Splitter became an option in the amplified weapon’s upgrade tree, and the Anvil was moved from Uncommon to Rare. That makes the old inventory mod different from the new amplification node.

Don’t confuse the two when browsing item guides. If you have a retired Anvil Splitter in your stash, it can become ARC Raiders Amplified Fragments. If you’re upgrading a new Anvil, you’ll need the appropriate Amplification Module and research or materials to select the new Splitter path. Our Anvil Blueprint guide covers acquiring the weapon, while Amplified Weapons explains the tier upgrade.

How to repair weapons using ARC Raiders Amplified Fragments

Once your gun is Amplified, ordinary weapon repair material is no longer enough. Open the repair interface for that gun and check its current fragment requirement. Repairs depend on the weapon’s remaining durability and installed upgrades, so the amount isn’t universal across all Amplified Weapons.

For a concrete example, community data lists an unmodified Amplified Anvil as using 13 fragments to restore 50% durability. Its expanded node configuration can have a different maintenance price. Review the preview before using your ARC Raiders Amplified Fragments, particularly when you’re repairing several weapons ahead of a long session.

Amplified guns usually gain around 70 additional maximum durability, while some Legendary weapons gain more. That doesn’t protect the gun from being lost: another Raider can loot it if you’re defeated. Extracting with your valuable weapon intact is as important as keeping it repaired.

Can you farm loose ARC Raiders Amplified Fragments in containers?

Current community inventories don’t establish an ordinary container location where loose fragments consistently drop. The documented method is recycling. You can collect potential recycling items during runs, but searching random residential containers specifically for loose fragments isn’t a demonstrated farming strategy.

Amplification Modules can be found during high-end encounters involving the fallen Emperor on Pendola Pass and the Frigate. Modules have five Marks matched to a weapon’s original rarity. Recycling an unwanted one returns fragments, but keeping a Mark you need for a future gun is usually more valuable. Check the preview first.

For these encounters, see our Emperor Dungeon guide and Boarding the Frigate quest walkthrough. The Emperor Gateway Conduit guide covers access to the fallen machine, while Pendola Pass map and extractions helps with the route back.

ARC Raiders Amplified Fragments versus Amplification Modules

An Amplification Module is needed when taking an eligible Tier IV gun to the new fifth upgrade tier. ARC Raiders Amplified Fragments are for repairing it afterwards. The items aren’t interchangeable, and gathering fifty fragments doesn’t automatically give you a module that matches a weapon’s rarity.

Before investing in this system, make sure your workshop is ready. Upgrading the Gunsmith and Research Bench is part of Amplified Weapon progression, and the Emperor Modulator is among the important higher-level requirements.

Should you recycle an amplified gun for fragments?

Only when you can genuinely spare it. Recycling a duplicate or unwanted amplified gun can produce more ARC Raiders Amplified Fragments than an old Anvil Splitter. But turning a valuable fully upgraded weapon into repair material to maintain another one can be an expensive trade when you still use both.

Compare the cost of repairing each weapon with the materials you’d recover by recycling it. If the gun has rare installed nodes, holding onto it may be more useful than taking an immediate fragment payout. When it is unwanted loot that you won’t take on raids, recovery can be a worthwhile choice.
