The Dead by Daylight Mori rework changes which execution appears when a Killer qualifies for more than one Mori. Update 10.3.0’s Terrifier PTB divides them into Finisher, Power and Memento Offering or Perk Moris, with one Kill prompt and a shared Attack input.
The updated execution system starts with Art the Clown in the October 28 Steam test build. Its main rule is priority: Finisher comes first, Power second and offering or perk third. Each execution still needs its own trigger conditions.
Dead by Daylight Mori Rework: All Three Execution Types
The Dead by Daylight Mori rework gives Finisher Moris the highest priority, followed by Power Moris and then Memento Mori Offering or Perk Moris. When more than one qualifies, the game presents the top eligible option instead of multiple competing Kill prompts.

Finisher Mori
A Finisher Mori happens at the end of a trial. A Killer can execute the last eligible Survivor. The existing game also allows a Finisher when two Survivors remain, one hooked in the Struggle Phase and the other in the Dying State.
When that two-Survivor Finisher begins, the hooked Survivor’s sacrifice begins too. Under the Dead by Daylight Mori rework, a qualifying Finisher takes priority over any eligible Power or offering-based execution.
Power Mori
A Power Mori is tied to an individual Killer’s ability rather than a general end-of-trial condition. Not every Killer has a Power Mori. The updated classification makes it clearer where each special execution belongs without giving everyone a new power.
Art the Clown introduces this system with unique weapon-themed Mini-Mori animations. His Bag of Toys uses Torture and Deadliness to pressure Survivors, while each execution still follows its own activation rules.
Memento Mori Offering or Perk Mori
Memento Mori Offerings and perks can also provide a Kill interaction when their requirements are met. These executions sit below eligible Finisher and Power Moris in the priority order.
For example, an offering that makes a Survivor eligible to be killed does not override an eligible Finisher. The DBD Mori Rework checks the priority order and presents the qualifying action at the top.
Which Mori Activates When Two Are Available?
Remember the order during a match: Finisher, Power, Memento Offering or Perk. The Dead by Daylight Mori rework checks which conditions have been satisfied and shows the highest-priority eligible Kill prompt.
The Dead by Daylight Mori rework displays just one Kill prompt, even if the Killer has several possible executions. The highest-priority eligible action is the one you can activate.
What Button Do Moris Use?
Every Mori category now uses the Killer’s Attack input. Your controls determine the physical button, while the on-screen Kill prompt appears when the Survivor meets the requirements. This is the input change introduced by the Dead by Daylight Mori rework.
The DBD Mori Rework standardises the interaction. It does not remove the conditions for a special Killer power, an offering or a perk. Those requirements determine whether the Kill prompt appears in the first place.
Will Every Killer Get a Power Mori?
Behaviour will apply the new categories to previously released Killers gradually. Some have Power Moris and some don’t; reorganising execution types doesn’t give every character an additional finishing move.
Art’s test build includes new weapon-themed Mini-Moris, and Behaviour has listed additional animation polish and a Power Mori tracker issue. The priority and Attack input are the main changes to learn during testing.
Is the Mori Rework a Gore Setting?
Gore customisation is a separate setting. Death Sequences tones down graphic deaths, Natural Blood Color changes the blood to green, and Regional Streamer Mode also anonymises player information. The Dead by Daylight Mori rework determines which Kill prompt appears, not how graphic its animation looks.
Turning down gore does not prevent a Finisher or remove an eligible Kill prompt. It changes how an execution looks, while the requirements and category priority stay the same.
When Will the Mori Rework Release?
Terrifier introduces the Dead by Daylight Mori rework in the Steam Update 10.3.0 Public Test Build, with the full chapter scheduled for November 24, 2026. Finisher, Power and Memento priorities are the main rules to learn when testing Art’s new animations.
Remember the order: Finisher, Power, then Memento Offering or Perk Mori. When the single Kill prompt appears, activate it with the Killer’s Attack input.
