DBD 10.3.0 patch notes introduce the Terrifier chapter to Steam’s Public Test Build, with Art the Clown as the new Killer and Sienna Shaw as the Survivor. Update 10.3.0 also brings Hartshorne Mall, six existing perk changes, new gore controls and an overhaul of Mori interactions.

Behaviour published the test notes on October 28, 2026. The full Terrifier chapter is scheduled for November 24. This breakdown covers the new powers, numerical perk changes and systems so you can see exactly what changed.

DBD 10.3.0 Patch Notes: Art the Clown and Bag of Toys

Art’s Bag of Toys offers two random weapons. Choose one, then ready and use it; each toy is single-use. In the DBD 10.3.0 patch notes, the five options are Acid Bottle, Flail, Handgun, Flamethrower and Bike Horn, with each toy applying a Torture effect to injured Survivors.

Acid Bottle throws acid or creates puddles. Flail sweeps across certain obstacles. Handgun fires a bullet. Flamethrower affects Survivors and can inflame Pallets, Windows and Generators. Bike Horn reveals Survivors through Killer Instinct, applies Oblivious and refreshes Torture timers. Behaviour flags an incomplete Horn power description as a known 10.3.0 PTB issue.

Torture is Art’s main combo mechanic. Apply one toy’s effect to an injured Survivor, then land a different toy to down them and apply Terrified. Taunt a downed or hooked Terrified Survivor to build Deadliness for every toy. Maximum Deadliness improves downing power, while Bike Horn gains an interruption and regression effect.

All Three New Killer Perks

The DBD 10.3.0 patch notes add Laughingstock, Kill Spree and Funny Business for Art. Laughingstock applies Exhausted and Oblivious near completed Generators. Kill Spree requires every remaining Survivor to have two Hook States and all Generators completed. Funny Business gives Haste after damaging a Generator and rolls one of four extra effects.

Funny Business triggers when you damage a Generator. It grants 10% Haste for ten seconds and randomly adds five seconds of Haste, stuns you for two seconds, blocks that Generator for 30 seconds, or displays confetti without a further effect. Its cooldown is 60/50/40 seconds, and the same random result cannot appear twice in succession.

Sienna Shaw’s Three Survivor Perks

Sienna has three perks in the DBD 10.3.0 patch notes. Valkyrie’s Rage strengthens a Pallet stun after sufficient chase time. Shared Trauma lets nearby teammates recover from Exhausted while running after she takes a protection hit. Best Gift Ever consumes different item types for their unique buffs.

Best Gift Ever starts with 4/5/6 tokens. The first drop of each distinct item type consumes that item and a token for a benefit. Flashlight adds a two-second blind when stunning; Fog Vial makes scratch marks fade 50% faster for five seconds after a fast vault; Key adds one Chest rummage; Map extends timed auras by one second; Medkit grants healing progress at 25% speed while healing another Survivor; Toolbox reveals the three Generators closest to each other.

Hartshorne Mall, Gore Settings and Moris

Hartshorne Mall is the new map in The Subdivisions realm. It is included in the Steam test and has lore connecting the setting to Dwight Fairfield’s childhood. The DBD 10.3.0 patch notes establish the map’s test availability without making it a separate Killer perk or feature.

Under Settings, then Gameplay, Death Sequences reduces graphic death animations. Natural Blood Color changes red blood to neutral green, while Regional Streamer Mode applies both adjustments and anonymises player details.

The DBD 10.3.0 patch notes reorganise executions into Finisher Mori, Power Mori and Memento Offering or Perk Mori categories. A single Kill prompt appears when multiple categories qualify, with higher categories taking precedence. Moris use the Killer’s Attack input, and the system starts with Terrifier.

All Six Existing Perk Changes: Before and After

The six revised perks in the DBD 10.3.0 patch notes are Dark Sense, Calm Spirit, Slippery Meat, Dark Arrogance, Ravenous and Whispers. The table below puts the new PTB values beside the previous effects, including the Dark Sense token redesign.

When the Killer enters a 20-metre radius, one token reveals the Killer and other Survivors, plus Pallets and Windows within 32 metres, for 13/14/15 seconds. Ravenous still gives 4% carrying Haste and 4% faster hooking for each first-hook token; at four tokens, all Survivors scream and become Exposed for 60/65/70 seconds.

Bug Fixes and Known Issues

The bug-fix portion of the DBD 10.3.0 patch notes covers Survivor bots, map collisions, HUD issues and several perks. Fixes include problem interactions on Raccoon City Police Station, Grim Pantry and Temple of Purgation.

Known issues include a Best Gift Ever blind triggering when Deathslinger’s chain breaks, some blood remaining red with the colour setting active, and unfinished Terrifier Mori effects. The Bike Horn description also omits the multiple-Survivor detection requirement for certain effects.

How to Download the 10.3.0 PTB on Steam

To try the DBD 10.3.0 patch notes changes, open Steam Library, right-click Dead by Daylight and choose Properties > Betas > Public Test Build. Download the test files before launching. The PTB is Steam-only and uses a separate snapshot of your live account.

The DBD 10.3.0 patch notes cover the October 28 test build rather than changes already released to everyone. They are the reference for the Terrifier characters and perk values being tested ahead of November 24.
