Art the Clown killer perks in Dead by Daylight are Laughingstock, Kill Spree and Funny Business. Each targets a different part of a trial: finished Generators, the team’s Hook States or damaging Generators for a burst of speed and a random bonus.
All three perks arrived in the 10.3.0 Terrifier Steam PTB on October 28, ahead of the November 24 chapter release. Here are their activation conditions, exact tier values and effects, including how Kill Spree’s endgame execution works.
Art the Clown Killer Perks: All Three Explained
The three Art the Clown killer perks have different triggers. Laughingstock is an area effect around completed Generators, Kill Spree requires repeated hooks and a completed set of Generators, and Funny Business triggers when you damage a Generator.

Laughingstock: Exhausted and Oblivious Around Completed Generators
Laughingstock applies Exhausted and Oblivious to Survivors within 12 metres of a completed Generator. The effects remain for 3/4/5 seconds after they leave that radius. Art can see completed Generator auras, showing where this pressure can happen.
The Generator must already be completed. Once Survivors move back through a finished objective, they enter Laughingstock’s range. It can catch someone moving between loops or passing through a familiar area after they thought the Generator was behind them.
Of the Art the Clown killer perks, Laughingstock is the one that can disrupt an Exhaustion perk and hide Art’s normal Terror Radius warning without him needing to land another attack. Survivors passing through already completed objectives should pay attention.
Kill Spree: How to Unlock Its Endgame Kill
Kill Spree allows a Kill when all Generators are completed and every remaining Survivor has reached two Hook States. Both requirements must be met. This makes it the most demanding of the Art the Clown killer perks, particularly when a Survivor has avoided being hooked.
Both Exit Gate switches are blocked while Kill Spree’s execution is happening. Once it finishes, the switches stay blocked for another 6/8/10 seconds. That gives Art a short window of extra endgame pressure rather than locking the gates for the rest of the match.
Picture three Survivors remaining. If even one has fewer than two Hook States, Kill Spree stays inactive, no matter how many Generators are finished. Once all three have two Hook States and every Generator is complete, the conditions are satisfied.
Funny Business: All Four Random Outcomes
Funny Business activates after you damage a Generator. You gain 10% Haste for ten seconds, plus one random result: five more seconds of Haste, a two-second stun on Art, a 30-second Generator block or confetti with no further effect.
Funny Business is the wildcard among the Art the Clown killer perks. Its cooldown is 60/50/40 seconds, and the same random result cannot occur twice in succession. The ten-second Haste boost is guaranteed when the perk activates, but a block or extended Haste depends on the roll.
The random stun can interrupt a chase, and confetti is only a visual joke. Among the Art the Clown killer perks, Funny Business is deliberately unpredictable; the guaranteed part of an activation is the ten-second Haste boost.
Which Art the Clown Perks Are Best for Your Approach?
Laughingstock adds passive pressure around finished objectives. Kill Spree rewards getting two Hook States on every remaining Survivor. Funny Business gives instant Haste when you damage Generators, with the risk of a self-stun or an unhelpful random result.
Choose Art the Clown Perks around your playstyle. A Generator-focused Killer will see Funny Business activate more often. If you spend the trial pursuing hooks, Kill Spree gives you an endgame payoff. Laughingstock can make completed Generator locations more hostile to Survivors passing through.
How Survivors Can Respond
Survivors should watch completed Generator locations against Laughingstock and team Hook States against Kill Spree. When Funny Business triggers, look at the actual outcome instead of assuming every damaged Generator will be blocked.
The Art the Clown killer perks don’t all activate through his Bag of Toys. Their conditions are separate from Torture and Deadliness, so you can choose them around your match strategy rather than the weapon that happened to appear in the bag.
When Do Art the Clown Perks Release?
These Art the Clown killer perks are the October 28 PTB versions. Behaviour lists the full Terrifier chapter for November 24, 2026, and the numerical test values provide a baseline for any balance changes at launch.
Laughingstock’s 12-metre area, Kill Spree’s all-Survivors-two-hooks condition and Funny Business’s four possible outcomes are the three things to remember when using Art’s perks.
