The Other Side Protective Crystals are earned by completing four-bone rituals during the Thinning of the Veil Halloween event. They unlock permanent lighting for your free Halloween headquarters and count towards the event’s exclusive trophy. Finding the bones is only the first part: you also have to finish the contract and deposit your crystals back at HQ.

The Other Side Protective Crystals: How to begin a ritual
Start a contract on a location that’s active in the Halloween rotation and look for the Ritual Table. Read its instructions, then search for four different ritual bones. They can be indoors or outdoors, so explore the building and its grounds. Watch for their purple glow and listen for faint whispers.
Return each bone to the table and put it into its corresponding bowl. If one is still missing, search the outdoor areas as well as the rooms you’ve already checked. Vectora Games hasn’t provided fixed coordinates for the bones, so the glow and audio clues are more useful than an unverified spawn map.

Once you’ve placed all four bones, perform the ritual and collect the revealed crystals from the bowls. Put them into your crystal pouch, then successfully complete the contract. You only bring the crystals home after that successful completion. At HQ, toss the pouch into the protective fire to credit them towards the Halloween rewards.

How to farm The Other Side Protective Crystals
Bigger event maps can have more ritual opportunities. Vectora Games also says the contract difficulty multiplier affects your chance of getting bonus crystals, but doesn’t give an exact drop-rate table. For The Other Side Protective Crystals, choose a map you can finish successfully rather than abandoning a harder contract with a full pouch.
You can check the active map pairs in our Halloween 2026 event and map rotation guide. All event maps are available for 36 hours, from 11 PM GMT on October 30 to 11 AM GMT on November 1, if you’re aiming to complete rituals on a particular location.
The Other Side Protective Crystals: HQ lights and trophy
Everyone receives the Halloween HQ free. As you deposit crystals into its fire, you unlock lighting decorations that remain in your collection after the event. The final progression reward is a special Halloween Trophy. The developer hasn’t published the exact crystal cost of each lighting tier or the trophy.
The October 23 hotfix added a completion indicator: once you’ve finished the Halloween progression, the protective fire turns purple. It also makes leaderboard totals update immediately after you deposit crystals. A fire that hasn’t changed colour doesn’t tell you which specific lighting reward is still outstanding.
Why are The Other Side Protective Crystals not counting?
If the crystals aren’t counting, work backwards through the steps: did you find four different bones, match their bowls, activate the ritual, put the crystals in your pouch and finish the contract? If so, return to HQ and deposit the pouch in the fire. Also make sure you started an active Halloween event contract; map availability changes with the daily rotation.
The Other Side Protective Crystals are available during Thinning of the Veil, advertised from October 22 to November 3, 2026. The published map schedule continues into November 4, but that hasn’t been confirmed as extra time to claim crystal rewards. Finish your deposits before the announced end date.
