The Other Side Halloween 2026, called Thinning of the Veil, runs from October 22 to November 3. During the event, you can search haunted locations for ritual bones, collect Protective Crystals for your headquarters, earn Halloween candy and buy seasonal cosmetics. Everyone gets the Halloween HQ for free, and the lighting you unlock stays after the event.
There’s also a daily rotation of event maps, with a 36-hour window when every Halloween location is available. The October 23 hotfix corrected the rotation and added new outfits and truck skins. Here’s how to take part, earn the permanent rewards and plan your remaining contracts.
The Other Side Halloween 2026: How rituals work
Open a Halloween event contract and find the Ritual Table. Follow the instructions there, then search for four different bones. They can appear indoors or outside, and each gives off a purple glow and faint whispering sound. Bring them back and put each bone into its matching bowl.
Complete the ritual, take the Protective Crystals from the bowls and put them in your pouch. You must successfully finish the contract to bring those crystals home. Back at your Halloween headquarters, throw the pouch into the protective fire to count them towards HQ upgrades. The Halloween HQ and any lighting decorations you’ve unlocked are permanent. After you finish the seasonal crystal progression, the protective fire turns purple, thanks to the October 23 update. Your event leaderboard score now updates as soon as you deposit crystals in the fire.
The developer hasn’t published numerical crystal targets for each lighting tier or the Halloween Trophy. You’ll need to use the progress displayed in your own HQ to check what you’ve earned. If you have crystals in your pouch but the lighting hasn’t changed, return to the fire and deposit them first.
The Other Side Halloween 2026 map rotation: UK times
If you’re looking for a particular ritual location, check the rotation before starting a contract. The Other Side Halloween 2026 normally has two featured maps at a time. The October 23 hotfix corrected a bug that showed every map as event-active. These are Vectora Games’ remaining published windows converted into UK time (GMT).

For The Other Side Halloween 2026, all Halloween maps become available at 11 PM GMT on Friday, October 30 and stay open until 11 AM GMT on Sunday, November 1. That 36-hour window lets you pick any event location, including larger maps with extra ritual opportunities.
There is one inconsistency in the developer’s schedule: it advertises November 3 as the event end date but lists a final map rotation extending into November 4. A later deadline for crystals or shop purchases hasn’t been confirmed, so plan to finish those by November 3.
The Other Side Halloween 2026 candy, cosmetics and shop
There are three ways to earn candy: successful rituals, candy buckets found on active event maps and trick-or-treating in other players’ lobbies. Candy earned from rituals won’t give you a trick, but a bucket might. Lobby hosts need to refill their buckets, and visitors can have a cooldown.
The Halloween Shop sells costumes, hoodies and truck skins. On October 23, Vectora Games added four female and three male costume unlocks, two Halloween box truck skins, two 2026 hoodies and unisex Boo-ty pants. The Other Side Halloween 2026 October 23 fixes
The October 23 update fixed the map-rotation bug, improved HQ performance and addressed crashes involving the laptop and interface changes. It also lets the lobby host adjust the HQ’s time of day. In the Session Browser, hosts can show a trick-or-treating indicator, which appears faded to a visitor who’s on cooldown.

The Other Side Halloween 2026 is scheduled to end on November 3. Vectora Games hasn’t confirmed an exact final UK claim hour, despite the extra map entry shown for November 4. Complete your remaining rituals, deposit your crystal pouches and spend the Halloween candy you want to use before the advertised end date.
