GTA Online Seed Capital is the first Franklin and Lamar Short Trip. The mission starts with a visit to Lamar’s LD Organics warehouse in Chamberlain Hills, then becomes a running battle after the Vagos steal his Mule truck. You’ll clear the warehouse, jump into the truck and fight attackers before retrieving the keys in Downtown Vinewood.
Exactly two players are required. The host controls Franklin and the second player controls Lamar. The Jobs menu lets you select the mission without buying an Agency. The moving-truck ambush is the toughest section: stay alive in the cargo area and prioritise the armed Speedo Custom and vehicles firing directly into the Mule.

You need to survive to the result screen for completion to register. The truck explosion at the mission’s conclusion is scripted, but losing the vehicle during the chase can cause failure.
How to start GTA Online Seed Capital
Choose Online → Jobs → Play Job → Rockstar Created → Missions and select Short Trip — Seed Capital. Invite a friend or use matchmaking to fill the second place. To play Lamar, join somebody else’s hosted lobby. Record A Studios’ Smoking Room is another entry route for players who’ve unlocked that location, but it isn’t mandatory for Jobs-menu access.

GTA Online Seed Capital: defend LD Organics
Drive Lamar’s green Emperor to the warehouse. Vagos members are firing on the business, so eliminate the gang outside before entering. Franklin and Lamar start with handguns. Pick up dropped Micro SMGs, then clear the enemies inside and collect the useful ammunition and Machine Pistol before moving on.
Chop chases the last outside gang member, which is part of the mission’s scripted sequence. Follow the new objective instead of trying to catch the dog. Once the warehouse is secure, Lamar notices that a Vagos driver has stolen his Mule with part of the stock.
GTA Online Seed Capital: board the Mule and survive
Catch up to the moving Mule and climb into its back as directed. At first the driver doesn’t realise you’re there. When the Vagos call reinforcements, motorcycles and vehicles begin attacking the truck. Prioritise enemies that are actively firing on the cargo area, especially the armed Speedo Custom.
Don’t waste your limited shooting windows on distant pursuers that have already fallen behind. Coordinate with your partner so one player handles vehicles on one side while the other covers the closest threat. Use snacks before your health reaches a critical level; normal cover isn’t available in the truck bed.
GTA Online Seed Capital: retrieve the keys
The Mule stops in an alley in Downtown Vinewood. Fight the Vagos and follow the driver fleeing with the keys towards the rooftops. Clear gunmen who are covering the escape route before rushing forward, then defeat the driver and pick up the keys.
The Mule explodes in the ending sequence, leaving Lamar’s delivery ruined. That is how GTA Online Seed Capital concludes, so don’t mistake the scripted explosion for an unsuccessful attempt. Wait for the completed-job result before leaving the lobby.
GTA Online Seed Capital: payout and missing reward
Current mission records list a GTA$50,000 normal payout and GTA$62,500 on Hard. There are also separate first-completion awards when playing the Short Trips as both Franklin and Lamar. The October 22–28 promotion offers GTA$500,000 for finishing all three missions, with payment reportedly arriving within 72 hours.
That means one GTA Online Seed Capital clear isn’t enough for the promotional payment: complete Fire It Up and OG Kush too. If the reward doesn’t arrive, confirm that all three jobs ended successfully before reporting a missing bonus to Rockstar Support. For other event deadlines, use the Halloween Week 4 guide.
Why does GTA Online Seed Capital fail?
If you lose the Mule during the chase, focus on the armed pursuers instead of low-threat vehicles. If either player leaves, the two-player requirement is no longer met. When a mission objective stops advancing, try again in a fresh lobby after confirming the correct target and vehicle actions.
