GTA Online OG Kush is the third Short Trip mission starring Franklin and Lamar. Lamar’s pitch to Jimmy Boston and Marnie Allen at Redwood Lights Track turns into a Vagos ambush. Franklin provides cover from a crane, then the pair escape in a van made from marijuana-based plastic that catches fire on the road to Tequi-la-la. You need two players: the host controls Franklin, while the partner plays Lamar.
The mission can be launched from Online → Jobs → Play Job → Rockstar Created → Missions without buying an Agency. This guide explains the objectives, where teams usually fail and how finishing OG Kush contributes to the October 22–28 GTA$500,000 Short Trips promotion.

OG Kush is the finale of the trio, following Seed Capital and Fire It Up. Playing them in order makes the storyline easier to follow, although each mission can be selected individually from the Jobs menu.
How to start GTA Online OG Kush
Open the pause menu, select Rockstar Created Missions and find Short Trip — OG Kush. Invite a second player and launch when both are ready. A solo player cannot complete it without another participant. If you want to play Lamar, join a friend’s hosted job instead of hosting yourself.

GTA Online OG Kush: Franklin takes the crane
Drive the LD Organics van to Redwood Lights Track. On arrival, Franklin climbs the nearby crane with a rifle to overlook the meeting, while Lamar stays at ground level to speak to the investors. Don’t leave Franklin by the van or run both characters into the meeting area; each has a different part in the setup.
The prospective investors are Jimmy Boston and Marnie Allen, who want to rebrand Lamar’s product as “Boston Bakes.” Lamar rejects their proposal. Vagos then arrive after Lamar inadvertently gives away the meeting location. Franklin should use the high vantage point to cover Lamar and warn him about enemies approaching from the track.
GTA Online OG Kush: defend Lamar at the track
Franklin should fire down from the crane while Lamar uses ground-level cover. Vagos first arrive in Primo Customs, followed by Sanchez motorcycles and heavier vehicles, including a Technical; a Frogger helicopter also joins the attack. Aim at enemies with a clear shot at Lamar before chasing stragglers.
Franklin’s raised position lets him pick off the arriving vehicles and cover Lamar, who has to survive the attack on the ground. Watch Jimmy Boston and Marnie Allen as they flee: if either is killed, the job fails. Keep shooting until the objective changes to the van escape, then climb down and regroup.
GTA Online OG Kush: pick up Franklin and reach Tequi-la-la
After the ambush, Lamar returns to the LD Organics van. Drive over to the crane and collect Franklin before leaving; the game won’t let Lamar simply drive away alone. Follow the escape objective towards the city while avoiding or fighting the Vagos chasing the vehicle.
During the drive, gunfire and heat ignite the van’s cannabis-based bodywork. The smoke makes Franklin and Lamar high, and Lamar decides to turn the disaster into publicity by heading for Tequi-la-la. Follow the mission marker to the club. They crash the burning van outside, and the spreading smoke creates the final scene. If the van is destroyed before the ending or either investor dies at the track, the mission fails instead.
GTA Online OG Kush payout and Halloween bonus
Normal Short Trips payout records list GTA$50,000, with GTA$62,500 on Hard, and there are separate one-time rewards for playing as Franklin and Lamar. The October 22–28 promotion is different: current weekly reporting offers GTA$500,000 for completing all three Short Trips, with payment within 72 hours.
That means your GTA Online OG Kush completion counts towards the offer only alongside Seed Capital and Fire It Up. If you’ve played the other two already, finish OG Kush before the weekly rotation. Check the Halloween Week 4 overview for other limited-time rewards.
GTA Online OG Kush not showing or mission failed?
If the job is missing, search Rockstar Created Missions instead of Security Contracts. If a lobby won’t start, confirm that both required players have joined and readied up. During the mission, watch the current objective marker; leaving the vehicle or a remaining enemy behind can stop progression.
After winning, check Stats → Awards → The Contract if you’re chasing the one-time GTA$100,000 awards for finishing each trip as Franklin and as Lamar.
