Warframe Nunchasa Blizzard Arrow is the signature Alt Fire on Narin’s bow. Digital Extremes describes it as a charged blizzard arrow that freezes enemies it touches and leaves a chilling path behind it. That makes the shot useful for more than raw damage: it can establish Frozen targets immediately and place Cold pressure across the route enemies are about to use.
The best way to use Warframe Nunchasa Blizzard Arrow is to think about the next few seconds of the fight before releasing it. A Blizzard Arrow sent through a doorway, corridor or clustered pack can control several enemies and leave its trail somewhere useful. Firing it into one nearly dead target wastes most of what makes the signature mechanic interesting.

Warframe Nunchasa Blizzard Arrow: how the Alt Fire works
Nunchasa’s regular fire is a charged bow attack with innate Puncture and Cold. The signature Alt Fire releases the Blizzard Arrow once its special resource is ready. Enemies touched by the shot are frozen and the projectile leaves a chilling path along its route.
The Freeze is immediate control. The trail is the positioning component. Aim through a group or across a route enemies are using so the effect continues to matter after the first target has been hit.
How to charge Warframe Nunchasa Blizzard Arrow
Nunchasa builds its Blizzard Arrow resource through normal weapon hits, and current weapon testing shows weak-point hits progress that resource faster. Normal fire is therefore part of the signature loop rather than filler you abandon while waiting for the Alt Fire.
Aim charged normal shots at weak points when the enemy and mission allow it. Against chaotic packs, body hits still progress the mechanic, so do not spend so long chasing perfect weak points that you stop killing efficiently.
Best situations for Warframe Nunchasa Blizzard Arrow
The Blizzard Arrow is strongest when the Freeze or trail can affect several enemies. Doorways, narrow corridors, defence approaches and clustered objective rooms give the chilling path a predictable stream of targets. Open spaces demand more deliberate placement because enemies can approach from several directions.
It is also useful as an emergency control shot against a dangerous group. Freezing the immediate threat can buy enough time to reposition, restore Shields or begin Narin’s own Cold-based rotation.
Warframe Nunchasa Blizzard Arrow with Narin
Nunchasa naturally fits Narin because her kit repeatedly interacts with Cold and Frozen enemies. Her passive can create Sangodae pickups while Cold is being applied, and those pickups add Cold Damage to her Primary and Secondary weapons while also supporting her ability loop.
Nurinarim provides the clearest offensive connection. Frozen enemies hit during the sword-dance state can become part of Narin’s Cold explosion chain. Blizzard Arrow gives you a direct weapon-based way to establish those Frozen targets before exploiting them.
Warframe Nunchasa Blizzard Arrow and Naraemagi
Naraemagi absorbs Cold Status from nearby enemies to restore Narin’s Shields and can grant Overguard when Shields are full. A battlefield covered in Cold therefore gives Narin a defensive option as well as an offensive one.
That creates a real choice. If you are safe, preserving Frozen or Cold-affected enemies can support your damage rotation. If you need defence immediately, Naraemagi can turn the existing Cold setup into survivability.
Do you need Narin for Warframe Nunchasa Blizzard Arrow?
No. The Blizzard Arrow belongs to Nunchasa itself. Any Warframe using the bow can access the Freeze and chilling-path mechanic. Narin simply has more built-in reasons to care about Cold Status and Frozen targets than a frame with no Cold interactions.
On another Warframe, judge the Alt Fire as crowd control and lane denial first. If that frame or loadout has its own Frozen-target synergy, the value rises further.
Common Warframe Nunchasa Blizzard Arrow mistakes
- Using the Blizzard Arrow on a lone disposable target instead of a group or useful lane.
- Ignoring weak points while building the special resource with normal fire.
- Firing across empty space where the chilling path will not intercept incoming enemies.
- Consuming every Cold setup defensively when Narin is already safe.
- Building around the signature shot so aggressively that normal Nunchasa shots become ineffective between Alt Fires.
How to get Nunchasa
Cephalon Melica sells Nunchasa’s main and component blueprints through her Classroom Supplies in exchange for Entropic Kuva. Entropic Kuva is obtained from Entropic Eximus on the Zariman. That connects the bow directly to the same Update 44 farming loop as Narin’s other new equipment.
Once you have the weapon, spend time learning where the trail actually helps in the missions you play. The signature mechanic becomes much better when you place it intentionally rather than treating Alt Fire as a generic cooldown button.
Warframe Nunchasa Blizzard Arrow: quick answer
Warframe Nunchasa Blizzard Arrow freezes enemies touched by Nunchasa’s charged Alt Fire and leaves a chilling path behind the projectile. Build the special resource through normal hits, favour weak points when practical, then fire through groups or enemy travel lanes. Narin benefits particularly well because her kit already rewards Cold and Frozen targets.
