The base Dragon’s Dogma 2 game remains required for the standalone expansion on PS5, Xbox and PC. Storefronts warn players about duplicate purchases because complete bundles also include the expansion.

PS5 version

PS5 is one of the main Dragon’s Dogma 2 Dark Arisen Platforms. The PlayStation Store offers both a Dark Arisen bundle containing the base game and expansion and a separate Dark Arisen Expansion add-on for players who already own Dragon’s Dogma 2.

The PS5 listing also identifies the complete Dark Arisen package as PS5 Pro Enhanced. Exact expansion performance details should still be taken from Capcom’s launch notes rather than assumed from the label alone.

Xbox Series X|S version

The Xbox store marks the game as optimized for Series X|S. It also notes that ray tracing is not supported on Series S, which is a platform-specific limitation worth keeping separate from the basic launch availability.

PC version

PC is included in the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Dark Arisen Platforms through Steam. Existing Dragon’s Dogma 2 players can add the Dark Arisen Expansion rather than rebuying the entire base game.

Capcom has published updated PC system requirements that apply to both the base game and Dark Arisen. The official requirements currently specify Windows 11, 16 GB RAM and SSD guidance but do not publish an expansion storage figure.

Nintendo Switch 2 version

Nintendo Switch 2 is the newest of the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Dark Arisen Platforms. Capcom’s first Switch 2 release combines the Dragon’s Dogma 2 base game and Dark Arisen expansion into one package.

Nintendo confirms the new Norgan story, the 12 Lost Rites dungeon challenges and expanded character-creator options. The Switch 2 listing should not be described as a port of only the expansion because the package contains the full base adventure too.

Is Dark Arisen on PS4 or Xbox One?

No. The currently announced Dragon’s Dogma 2 Dark Arisen Platforms do not include PS4 or Xbox One. Capcom’s trailer names PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.

That makes Dark Arisen a current-generation expansion. Existing ownership on an older console version does not create an announced Dark Arisen build for that hardware.

Do all platforms get the same expansion content?

The core content is shared across the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Dark Arisen Platforms: Forsaken Dominion in Norgan, Lost Rites with 12 dungeon challenges, and new hairstyles and tattoos. Platform packaging differs more than the core expansion concept.
