Brawl Stars Prop Hunt: How the Modifier Works and Best Tricks

Brawl Stars Prop Hunt is a modifier that turns your Brawler into a map object when you stop moving. The disguise can be a random wall or decoration from the current map theme, but not a terrain tile or patch of grass, and the game is more likely to choose an object that fits the scenery near your position.

The most important Brawl Stars Prop Hunt rule is that attacking reveals you. After a brief period of inactivity you can disguise again, potentially as a different object, which creates a constant trade-off between staying hidden and moving to a safer position.

How Brawl Stars Prop Hunt works

When Brawl Stars Prop Hunt is active, stop moving and wait for the disguise to trigger. Your Brawler changes into a nearby-looking environmental prop rather than remaining visibly identifiable as the selected character.

The transformation is automatic. You do not open a prop menu or manually choose a chair, wall or decoration.

What can you transform into?

Brawl Stars Prop Hunt uses random map-theme objects. Supercell specifically says these can be walls or decorations, but not map tiles or grass.

The system favours props that look plausible near your current location. That makes choosing the right place to stop almost as important as the random prop you receive.

What reveals your disguise?

Attacking reveals you in Brawl Stars Prop Hunt. Movement also breaks the stationary disguise behaviour, so repeatedly twitching around a hiding spot makes it much easier for opponents to identify the real player.

Once you stop again and remain inactive briefly, the modifier can transform you into another prop.

Can you change into a different prop?

Yes. Brawl Stars Prop Hunt can give you a new disguise after you move and then stop again. This is useful if the first transformation looks obviously wrong for the location.

Do not endlessly reroll in front of an opponent. Move when you have cover or when the enemy’s attention is elsewhere, then settle into a believable spot.

Which modes support Prop Hunt?

Supercell says Brawl Stars Prop Hunt works especially well in Showdown and can also appear in Gem Grab, Knockout and Bounty. It is mandatory in the Hide and Seek mode.

The modifier is also available in Friendly Rooms, which makes it easy to practice hiding behaviour with friends without waiting for a live rotation.

Prop Hunt in Hide and Seek

Brawl Stars Prop Hunt is central to Hide and Seek. Three Hiders use disguises while one heavily buffed Seeker tries to eliminate all of them within 45 seconds.

A Hider does not need to fight to win. Surviving until the timer ends is enough, so remaining believable as scenery can be more valuable than dealing damage.

Best places to hide

The best Brawl Stars Prop Hunt locations are areas where your generated object looks normal. A decoration placed beside several similar decorations is much harder to notice than the same object isolated in open ground.

Use corners, cluttered scenery and visual repetition. Avoid stopping where a wall or prop would obviously block a lane in a way the normal map layout never does.

How to spot disguised players

When hunting in Brawl Stars Prop Hunt, look for environmental objects that seem slightly misplaced, duplicated strangely or positioned where a normal decoration would be inconvenient.

Watch movement carefully. A prop that changes location or appears shortly after a Brawler disappears is much more suspicious than scenery that has remained consistent since you entered the area.

Do bushes hide Prop Hunt players?

The Brawl Stars Prop Hunt disguise itself does not turn you into grass, because Supercell explicitly excludes tiles and grass from the prop pool. Normal visibility rules can still matter depending on the mode and map.

Think of Prop Hunt as an additional visual disguise system rather than a replacement for every standard concealment mechanic.

Can you use Prop Hunt in Friendly Rooms?

Yes. Brawl Stars Prop Hunt is available in Friendly Rooms. That is the easiest place to test how quickly disguises trigger and what kinds of objects different environments produce.

Practicing there also helps you learn which placements look natural before the modifier appears in a live rotating mode.

Prop Hunt summary

Brawl Stars Prop Hunt disguises stationary players as random map-theme objects, reveals them when they attack and lets them transform again after another short period of inactivity.

It appears in Hide and Seek, can appear in Showdown, Gem Grab, Knockout and Bounty, and is available in Friendly Rooms. The best trick is simple: stop somewhere your random prop looks like it genuinely belongs.
