Pokémon Champions Pokémon HOME Transfer: How Visitors Work

Pokémon Champions Pokémon HOME Transfer

Pokémon Champions Pokémon HOME Transfer works through a visitor system rather than a permanent one-way move. Supported Pokémon stored in Pokémon HOME can visit Pokémon Champions, battle and be trained there, then return to Pokémon HOME when you are finished.

The important Pokémon Champions Pokémon HOME Transfer restriction is that Pokémon recruited inside Champions cannot be deposited into Pokémon HOME. HOME visitors can go back, but Champions-native recruits remain inside Champions.

  • Link Pokémon Champions and Pokémon HOME with the appropriate Nintendo Account.
  • The visiting species must currently appear in Pokémon Champions.
  • Only compatible Pokémon can visit Champions.
  • Pokémon recruited inside Champions cannot be deposited into Pokémon HOME.

How to send a Pokémon to Champions

Open the HOME connection from Pokémon Champions and choose an eligible Pokémon to visit. The game checks whether that species appears in the current Champions roster.

Owning a Pokémon in HOME does not override the Champions roster restriction if the species is not currently supported.

Pokémon Champions Pokémon HOME Transfer visitors can return to HOME

A visiting Pokémon is not trapped in Champions. Pokémon’s official guidance says visitors can return to HOME and later visit Champions again.

That makes Pokémon Champions Pokémon HOME Transfer useful for competitive Pokémon you still want available in your wider collection.

What happens to incompatible moves

If a visitor knows moves that cannot be used in Champions, you need to change those moves through Champions training.

Check the Champions move pool before spending resources so you know whether the imported Pokémon needs immediate retraining.

Does Champions training change the HOME Pokémon?

Training performed in Champions does not carry back into Pokémon HOME. Champions can remember the visitor’s training if the same Pokémon returns later in the same form.

If it returns in a different form, the saved Champions training associated with the previous form can be lost.

Can Champions recruits go to HOME?

No. Pokémon obtained through Champions recruitment cannot be deposited into Pokémon HOME.

Recruitment is a Champions roster system, not a way to create new transferable HOME Pokémon.

Which previous games can feed visitors?

Pokémon highlights compatible partners originating from Pokémon GO, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Pokémon Legends: Z-A and other supported games once those Pokémon are stored in HOME.

The species still has to appear in Champions, so Pokémon Champions Pokémon HOME Transfer does not make the entire National Pokédex available.

HOME visitors and Ranked legality

Being allowed to visit Champions does not automatically make every form legal under the current Ranked regulation. Check M-C and the in-game Rules screen before putting the visitor on a competitive team.

Pokémon Champions Pokémon HOME Transfer solves roster access, while regulation legality remains a separate competitive rule.

HOME visitors versus Pokémon recruited in Champions

A HOME visitor and a Pokémon recruited in Champions can fill the same battle role, but their ownership rules are different. Visitors remain tied to Pokémon HOME and can be sent back, while Champions recruits stay inside Champions and cannot be deposited into HOME.

That makes HOME most useful when you already have a favourite compatible Pokémon you want to battle with immediately. Recruitment is better suited to expanding the permanent in-game roster without relying on another title.

Before sending a competitive Pokémon from HOME

Check the visitor’s supported moves and form before moving it into Champions. If its normal moves are unavailable, you will need a Champions training setup instead of expecting the HOME build to function unchanged.

It is also worth deciding whether the Pokémon is meant for Ranked M-C or casual play. A compatible visitor can enter Champions successfully and still need a different set, item or form to satisfy the current competitive rules.
