Marvel Snap Draft Mode: September 28 Scoring, Augments and Tickets

Marvel Snap Draft Mode official artwork

Marvel Snap Draft Mode is live again from September 28 through October 12, 2026 with Sanctum Showdown-style scoring, four new Augments, favourite variant art and a substantial cleanup to Card/Augment pairing logic. It is the same draft-a-deck foundation as the August run, but the decisions around scoring and post-match upgrades are no longer a straight rerun.

The biggest practical change in Marvel Snap Draft Mode is that obvious non-combos should appear less often. Second Dinner specifically says pairings such as Power on skill cards, On Reveal effects on Cosmo and Salvage on Armor are being filtered out. That does not guarantee a perfect build, but it should make more choices feel like real trade-offs rather than traps.

The returning Marvel Snap Draft Mode uses Sanctum Showdown-style scoring and adds Apex, Unstoppable, Taunt and Slingshot to the Augment pool. Cards also display your favourite variant art instead of default art, while rarity tuning and starter-pack adjustments change what can appear during a run.

ChangeWhat it means
Sanctum scoringMatches use the Sanctum Showdown-style scoring system
Favourite variantsDrafted cards show your selected favourite variant art
Non-combo filteringClearly incompatible Card/Augment pairings should stop appearing
ApexDoubles its Power when it is your only card at the location
UnstoppableCan be played anywhere and cannot be destroyed or have Power reduced
TauntForces the opponent’s first card next turn to this location
SlingshotBuffs one of your other cards there and moves it right

How the New Marvel Snap Draft Mode Scoring Changes a Run

Marvel Snap Draft Mode no longer asks returning players to think only in terms of the first run’s pacing. Sanctum-style scoring changes the value of individual matches, so a deck that can contest the relevant scoring conditions consistently may be more useful than a fragile high-roll deck that only works when one exact combo appears.

Do not overcorrect by drafting only for one Augment. Apex wants space, Taunt wants a board that can punish forced placement, and Slingshot wants movable friendly targets. The improved pairing logic should give you fewer dead choices, but curve, location access and basic power still matter across the whole run.

New Augments in Marvel Snap Draft Mode

The four new Draft Augments create very different deck-building pressures. Apex rewards leaving a card alone. Unstoppable is a flexible protected body. Taunt can disrupt the opponent’s next turn by dictating their first play location. Slingshot adds a small buff and movement, which can free space or interact with cards that care about moving.

Because Augments are attached during the run, judge each effect against the deck you actually drafted rather than the best theoretical combo. An Augment can be individually strong and still be wrong for your current curve or location plan.

How to Enter Marvel Snap Draft Mode and Get Tickets

New runs in Marvel Snap Draft Mode use Draft Tickets. Check the mode for the daily free ticket first, then look at active event rewards or shop offers if you want more entries. Our Marvel Snap Draft Tickets guide explains the difference between starting a fresh run and spending a Respawn Token to continue one after losses.

The September 28 Marvel Snap Twitch Drops do not award Draft Tickets. They give Boosters and mystery cosmetics, so do not leave a stream running expecting it to refill your Draft balance.

When Does Marvel Snap Draft Mode End?

This Marvel Snap Draft Mode run is scheduled from September 28 through October 12 at server reset. That gives you two weeks to learn the new scoring and test the additional Augments instead of spending every ticket on day one.

Second Dinner details the returning mode in the September 15 patch notes. For Marvel Snap Draft Mode, use the live mode screen for current ticket timers and event rewards, while the patch notes are the source of truth for the September 28 mechanics and Augment changes.
