Will Counter Logic Gaming continue to be one of the best teams in the league? Is Cloud9’s new roster the best in the league, or was it a fluke that they went on a winning streak right out of the gate?

The poor luck of the Immortal Progressive LCS roster continued this week, with the team dropping another two games, finishing the week with a 1-6 record so far this split.

Through both games this week, they managed to rack up a total of four kills, far below any of the other competition. Their next closest was TSM who managed to double their kill count against much tougher competition. Immortals Progressive faced off against two middle-of-the-road teams in Golden Guardians and 100 Thieves, where TSM had to go against the best team in the league in Evil Geniuses.

Problems with the team reach far and wide. From the outside perspective, there seem to be issues with communication, drafting, and how to itemize properly within the game. Power Of Evil, the team’s mid-laner, has become known for his poor builds that make the game hard on himself for no reason.

For him, making poor decisions seems to have become the norm for him. Around the community, jokes have risen about his builds. One that he has become specifically known for is him taking Rift Maker, an item used for ability power bruisers mostly, on Oriana, a bust mage that doesn’t need to heal but wants to deal damage instead.

Worries have also risen that this experience is ruining the potential for their rookie jungler, Kenvi. The poor performances that the team has been having, could stunt his growth as a prospect and prevent him from reaching the ceiling that people saw for him in the Academy scene.

With all these problems, it’s hard to find the root of it all, but for the few Immortals Progressive fans that are around, hopefully, the team is able to make a comeback in the back half of the split.
