Fortnite Treasure Hunters Week 2 quests give you seven more challenges to work through on Crossbones Isle, with 20,000 XP for each one. That’s 140,000 XP if you finish the lot, plus progress towards the Captain X rewards. Most of them are fairly painless, but there’s one thing we’d really like to save you some time on: Lil Uzi Vert’s boss challenge.

It looks like a simple case of finding him and winning a fight. The catch is that his Captain’s Day is on Sunday, November 8, not during Saturday’s Treasure Hours. We’d rather spend today making progress on the other tasks than go searching the whole island for someone who hasn’t arrived yet. Here is how we’d tackle Fortnite Treasure Hunters Week 2 quests, and what the wording actually asks you to do.

All Fortnite Treasure Hunters Week 2 quests and XP rewards

Every listed Week 2 challenge awards 20,000 XP. The full set is below. There are two counters to read carefully: 75 SMG hits is different from 75 damage, and the three Sprite extractions have to happen in a single match.

Total 7 quests 140,000 XP

Our best way to complete the combat challenges

For Fortnite Treasure Hunters Week 2 quests, we’d combine tasks whenever possible. Get above somebody, use an SMG and start landing hits. If that gun is Legendary, those shots can help three quest counters at once. There’s no point treating the combat objectives as three separate jobs when one sensible fight can advance all of them.

Defeat Lil Uzi Vert: wait for November 8

This is the most important timing detail in the Fortnite Treasure Hunters Week 2 quests list. Captain’s Day is Sunday, November 8, at 9 AM EST / 2 PM GMT. Lil Uzi Vert is due to take over the Stronghold, with a new SMG arriving alongside him. The map labels Lil’ Uzi’s Stronghold in the northeast of Crossbones Isle, so we’d start the search there when the takeover happens.

If you’re playing on Saturday, you haven’t missed a secret spawn. His Item Shop appearance is dated November 12, which is separate from the in-game Captain’s Day. We covered the updated Sunday schedule in our Captain’s Day guide. We’d check the in-game location when the event begins rather than claim we already know every detail of the boss encounter.

dance car

Dance on a drivable car

Find a car you can drive, climb onto the roof and use a dance emote. That’s the whole challenge. We’d get it done in a quiet spot as soon as we saw a car, rather than save it for late game when every passing opponent has an opinion about your dancing.

Among the Fortnite Treasure Hunters Week 2 quests, this should be the quickest 20,000 XP available. You don’t need to drive a certain distance, win a race or eliminate anyone. Just dance on the vehicle.

Damage opponents from above: 500

For Fortnite Treasure Hunters Week 2 quests, a rooftop, ledge or slope is the simplest way to give yourself the height advantage. Deal a total of 500 damage while you’re above your opponents. We prefer taking a useful position and fighting normally rather than trying to pull off a spectacular mid-air shot. The listed task is about damaging someone from above, so look for that angle.

Hit opponents with Lil’ SMG or any other SMG: 75

You do not need to wait for Lil Uzi’s special weapon. The task explicitly allows other SMGs, meaning an ordinary one works for the 75-hit counter. This is a good Fortnite Treasure Hunters Week 2 quests objective to keep active while you’re doing the high-ground damage task.

Remember, 75 hits is not the same as 75 damage. We’d use whatever SMG we’re comfortable with and take the shots we can actually land. If we found a Legendary version, we’d keep it for the final damage challenge too.

Extract three Sprites in one match

This is the challenge we’d plan a full game around. You need to find and extract all three Sprites during the same match. One extraction here and one in the next match won’t count as the three required for this objective.

For Fortnite Treasure Hunters Week 2 quests, our starting point would be Wanted Posters. Tear a poster down, take the Sprite Treasure Map it reveals and follow it to a buried Sprite Chest. Collect and extract your Sprites using the options available in the live match, and don’t throw away a promising three-Sprite run on a fight you don’t need.

Saturday’s Treasure Hours have boosted Fortune Sprite appearances, but that does not mean the event hands you three successful extractions. The single-match condition is still the part you have to get right.

Loot 20 items from a vault

The vault challenge is one of the less predictable Fortnite Treasure Hunters Week 2 quests, because you need a key first. Vault Keys can turn up in Chests, or you can take one from a player you’ve eliminated. Once you have a key, your map marks a vault to head towards. Open it and loot items from inside the vault. Opening 20 random Chests in the open isn’t the same task.

We wouldn’t force a particular drop just for this one. Pick up the key when it appears, check the map and make that your next stop. It’s a more practical approach to Fortnite Treasure Hunters Week 2 quests than memorising a long list of vaults before you’ve found a way into one.

Damage opponents with Legendary or better weapons: 500

Find a Legendary (gold) weapon or something of a higher rarity and deal 500 damage with it. It’s the damage that matters, not the number of eliminations. If you have a Legendary SMG, that’s lovely because it can also complete the 75-hit objective. Otherwise, use a reliable weapon and don’t make life harder just for the colour of its rarity.

Captain X rewards from Fortnite Treasure Hunters Week 2 quests

The seven Fortnite Treasure Hunters Week 2 quests pay their own 140,000 XP, but completing them also moves your total Weekly Quest count towards Captain X’s milestones. Those cosmetic rewards are a different track from the random items you can find in Treasure Chests.

Weekly quests finished Captain X reward
4 The Treasure Hunt Begins Loading Screen
8 Banner Icon
12 He Who Sees All Treasure Spray
14 Rogue Wave and Tidecutter Back Bling
18 Hidden reward
20 Hidden reward
24 Captain X Outfit

There are four launch Kickstart quests, six Week 1 quests and seven Week 2 quests on the published lists. That’s 17 possible completions so far. Finish them all and you’ll have cleared the 14-quest Back Bling requirement, but the 18-quest milestone still needs another weekly batch.

There’s also an important catch: the Treasure Hunters Battle Pass is required to claim Captain X cosmetics, including the outfit after 24 weekly quests. The XP for completing normal Weekly Quests and the Battle Pass reward track are not the same thing. Our Captain X rewards guide explains every milestone.

The order we’d tackle Fortnite Treasure Hunters Week 2 quests

Our pick would be to get the car dance out of the way, then use regular matches for SMG hits, high-ground damage and Legendary damage. Take a Vault Key if you find one. For the three Sprite extractions, we’d slow down and focus on finishing a single match successfully. Finally, save the Lil Uzi Vert boss fight for Sunday, when his Stronghold takeover is scheduled.

What we like about Fortnite Treasure Hunters Week 2 quests is that you can make decent progress without chasing seven unrelated objectives all over the island. And if you’re also collecting Week 2 Treasure Chest cosmetics, don’t mix those up with the weekly XP rewards. The Week 2 Chest rewards guide covers that separate loot pool.
