Warzone Weapon Augments are new temporary upgrades available in Season 1 through portable Fly Buy Stations. There are three types at launch: CQC, Marksman and Handling. Each one improves a different set of weapon characteristics for the match you are playing.
Unlike Gunsmith attachments, these upgrades are bought during the match. You cannot save one to a custom loadout and bring it into every game.
How to get Warzone Weapon Augments from Fly Buy Stations
To obtain Weapon Augments, look for the new Fly Buy Stations in your match. Activision says drones will cross the map and drop portable Buy Stations. Those special stations provide access to the augment upgrades, which are offered in limited quantities.
Unlike a fixed Buy Station, a Fly Buy arrives by drone and sells Warzone Weapon Augments. Its stock is limited, so getting there quickly could matter if other squads are hunting the same upgrades.
Activision has not published Fly Buy prices or guaranteed drop locations ahead of launch.

All three Warzone Weapon Augments explained
Each augment improves a particular side of weapon performance. Choose one according to the range you fight at and how your gun feels, rather than assuming all three do the same thing.
CQC Augment
CQC is the close-range and movement-into-combat option. It increases aim-down-sights speed, sprint-to-fire speed and movement speed while aiming. It also reduces hip-fire recoil, helping when you are fighting without fully aiming down sights.
Of the Warzone Weapon Augments, CQC suits aggressive players who regularly move from sprinting into close-range gunfights. Its listed improvements are to speed and recoil, not raw bullet damage.
Marksman Augment
Marksman improves bullet velocity and damage range while reducing horizontal recoil and aiming idle sway. That combination is geared toward making longer-range engagements more consistent, particularly when you want to hold a target at a distance.
A longer effective damage range helps when shooting across open ground, but that is different from increasing every bullet’s base damage.
Handling Augment
Handling focuses on keeping a weapon responsive between shots and actions. It speeds up reloads, rechambering and firing after a slide. It also reduces first-shot recoil, weapon bob and flinch, according to the official roadmap.
That mix makes Handling distinct from CQC. Both affect responsiveness, but Handling covers the steps between attacks and the steadiness of the weapon, whereas CQC concentrates on quicker aiming, sprint-to-fire transitions and hip-fire control.
Which of the Warzone Weapon Augments is best?
If you mostly fight up close, CQC is the obvious starting point. Marksman suits weapons that need more range, velocity and steadier aim. Handling is an all-round response and stability upgrade for weapons whose reload, rechamber or flinch behaviour gets in the way.
There is no useful one-size-fits-all answer before the live balance numbers are available. Match the upgrade to the gun and the distances you expect to fight at.
Are Warzone Weapon Augments permanent attachments?
No. They are temporary bonuses bought during a match, whereas Gunsmith attachments belong to your chosen weapon build.
Season 1 also adds Elite Perks and Field Upgrades, including the Zipline Launcher and Grabber Drone. Those affect your Operator or your team’s equipment, not the temporary weapon bonuses sold at Fly Buys.
