Warzone Weapon Trade Station is a new Resurgence feature in Season 1 that lets you exchange a weapon you are carrying for an improved-rarity replacement with additional attachments. It is a way to upgrade the equipment already in your hands during a match, rather than waiting to find a better gun on the ground.
This is a Resurgence-specific way to get a stronger gun without depending entirely on random ground loot. It also works differently from the new Fly Buy Stations and standard Loadout Drops.
How does the Warzone Weapon Trade Station work?
The Warzone Weapon Trade Station works by taking your currently equipped weapon in exchange for a weapon of improved rarity. Activision says the replacement offers additional weapon attachments, so the benefit comes from trading up the gun you have rather than adding a temporary bonus to its existing statistics.
The exchange applies to the gun you have equipped. It is not an upgrade for every weapon in your inventory.
Find a station in Resurgence, approach it with the weapon you want to trade and use the station’s exchange option. The exact on-screen prompts will be clear once the feature goes live.
Does the Weapon Trade Station improve rarity and attachments?
Yes. The confirmed purpose of the Warzone Weapon Trade Station is to replace a held gun with one of better rarity that also has more powerful attachment options. That gives a player with a weaker weapon an additional route towards a better-equipped gun.
Rarity and attachments are related but not interchangeable. A weapon’s rarity is the quality tier of the version you receive; attachments are the fitted components that affect its handling and other characteristics. Activision says the trade station improves the former and supplies additional attachments with the replacement.
Activision has not supplied a rarity-by-rarity exchange chart or a full list of possible attachments.

Where is the Warzone Weapon Trade Station found?
Activision identifies the Warzone Weapon Trade Station as a Resurgence-only feature. Season 1 launches with the new Zodiac Resurgence map, while other Resurgence playlists are also part of the seasonal schedule. The announcement does not provide a verified station-by-station map, so there is no official set of coordinates to follow yet.
Do not expect to find the station in every Battle Royale playlist. Resurgence is the mode Activision has named for this feature.
Is it the same as a Fly Buy Weapon Augment?
No. The Weapon Trade Station and Fly Buy Stations do different jobs. The trade station exchanges your existing weapon for an upgraded-rarity version with attachments. Fly Buys are portable Buy Stations dropped onto the map by drones, where you can obtain temporary Weapon Augments.
The Warzone Weapon Trade Station is separate from the three Weapon Augments: CQC, Marksman and Handling. Their bonuses affect things such as aiming speed, bullet velocity, damage range, reload speed or flinch resistance during the match. They are not physical rarity exchanges, and the official roadmap does not present the trade station as a way to unlock permanent Gunsmith components.
Use the trade station if you want a higher-rarity gun. If you prefer your current weapon but want a temporary handling or range improvement, look into Weapon Augments instead.
How is it different from a Loadout Drop?
A regular Loadout Drop gives you a chosen setup. The trade station takes the gun you’re holding and replaces it with an upgraded one.
Season 1 also adds a Resurgence Loadout Drop Kit, but that item grants your current loadout on your next redeployment. A Drop Kit affects your return after elimination; a Weapon Trade Station affects the gun you are using during the current life.
Does the Warzone Weapon Trade Station have a cost?
The roadmap has not provided a cash price, cooldown or a guaranteed output for every exchange. The confirmed mechanic is handing over your weapon for an upgraded-rarity replacement.
That makes the station useful when your current gun is falling behind what other squads are carrying, but the exact exchange options will need checking in-game.
Weapon Trade Station release date
Warzone Weapon Trade Station arrives with the Season 1 update on Friday 6 November 2026 at 05:00 GMT, midnight Eastern, 06:00 CET, 14:00 JST and 16:00 AEDT. The equivalent West Coast release time is 21:00 Pacific on Thursday 5 November.
The Resurgence-only Weapon Trade Station joins four new Drop Kits, while the wider Warzone update also introduces Elite Perks, the Zipline Launcher, Grabber Drone, Ground Ops and Weapon Augments. Each has a separate role, and understanding those differences will help you choose the right interaction during a match.
