WrestleMania 38 has been a fantastic event so far, and we’ve still got Night 2 to go.

Night 1 saw Stone Cold Steve Austin step into the ring one more time to defeat Kevin Owens, Bianca Belair captured the Raw Women’s Championship, the return of Cody Rhodes, and we got to see the in-ring debut of Logan Paul.

But, now it is time to look ahead to WrestleMania 38 Night 2 and it is right around the corner, with the event being headlined by Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns.

Here is our breakdown and results for WrestleMania 38 Night 2.

RK-Bro (C) vs The Street Profits vs Alpha Academy – Triple threat tag team match for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship

The Raw Tag Team Championship match is set to open WrestleMania 38 Night 2 with RK-Bro defending their championships against Street Profits and Alpha Academy.

This match was a very fun one, with plenty of great spots from all six Superstars, including some impressive high flying from Montez Ford and Chad Gable.

Each Superstar played to their strengths, with Gable, Riddle, and Angelo Dawkins doing more pure wrestling spots, Montez Ford being a high flyer, Otis being a powerhouse, and Orton just doing what he does best, just kick ass and take names.

In the end, RK-Bro were able to retain their Raw Tag Team Championships after hitting an RKO outta nowhere on Chad Gable.

Following the match, The Street Profits and RK-Bro were celebrating in the ring with drinks, even inviting Gable Steveson to the party.

Chad Gable decided to break the party up and received a Suplex by Steveson for his trouble.

A very entertaining opening match.

Winners: RK-Bro

Bobby Lashley vs Omos

Bobby Lashley was expected to miss WrestleMania 38 following an injury at the Royal Rumble.

This meant that he was written out of the show and WWE had no plans for him, but with him returning early they scrambled to put together Lashley vs Omos.

As expected, the match was very short and sweet, with Lashley carrying the entire match, selling everything that Omos did.

In the end, Lashley was able to get the upper hand by Suplexing the 7-foot giant and hitting two Spears for the win.

Winner: Bobby Lashley

Johnny Knoxville vs. Sami Zayn – Anything Goes match

Who had Johnny Knoxville taking part in an Anything Goes Match at WrestleMania 38 on their 2022 bingo card?

The Jackass star finally took on Sami Zayn after a very entertaining feud that saw Knoxville leak Sami Zayn’s phone number on a plane flying across LA.

An Anything Goes Match makes perfect sense for Knoxville as he is no stranger to taking an extreme amount of punishment if Jackass is anything to go by.

Trash cans, crutches, fire extinguishers, and many other weapons came into play, with Knoxville taking the brunt of the punishment. The match did have its comedy moments, but overall it was a very solid match.

It is very surprising that Knoxville got involved as he did, much like Logan Paul in Night 1. He took the match very seriously and had no problem taking and dishing out punishment, even taking a suplex through a table.

As expected, some of the Jackass crew got involved in the match, with Party Boy stripping down to his underwear becoming “Naked Mideon 2.0”.

Wee Man was also hidden under the ring because of course he was, with the Jackass legend even performing a body slam onto Zayn, wrestling is wild.

Johnny Knoxville won the match after getting a human-sized mousetrap from under the ring and using it on Zayn to trap him.

To list all of the hijinx that took place during this match would make this far too long, if you don’t subscribe to the WWE Network, do so and watch this match. I can’t understate how entertaining this match is.

Winner: Johnny Knoxville

Queen Zelina and Carmella (c) vs Sasha Banks and Naomi vs Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan vs Natalya and Shayna Baszler – Fatal four-way tag team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

The Women’s Tag Team Championships are set to be defended at WrestleMania 38 as Queen Zelina and Carmella defend their titles against Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan, Sasha Banks and Naomi, and Natayla and Shayna Baszler.

When it came to the match, overall it was very entertaining and every woman was given time to get their spots in and everyone shined in this match, although it did become a bit of a cluster and difficult to follow at parts.

In the end, Sasha Banks and Naomi were able to score the win with a double team combination of the Glam Slam by Naomi into a Codebreaker by Banks to capture the Women’s Tag Team Championship.

This also marks the first time Sasha Banks has ever won at WrestleMania despite being one of the most decorated female performers in WWE history.

Winners: Sasha Banks and Naomi

Edge vs AJ Styles

When Edge returned to the WWE in January 2020, one match that fans immediately thought of was Edge vs AJ Styles.

Finally, after over two years, the dream match is finally about to happen.

New Day vs Sheamus & Ridge Holland (w/ Butch)

After having the match canceled during Night 1, New Day is finally about to get their hands on Sheamus and Ridge Holland at WrestleMania 38 Night 2.

It appears that WWE had to cut time again because the entrances were as long as the match itself, with Sheamus and Ridge Holland defeating the New Day in under two minutes.

At that point, they should have just cut it completely, but all four Superstars deserved much better.

Winners: Sheamus and Ridge Holland

Pat McAfee vs Austin Theory

Pat McAfee steps into a WWE ring for the first time to take on Austin Theory, Vince McMahon’s handpicked opponent.

It was the childhood dream of Pat McAfee to become a WWE Superstar long before he ever got into football.

WWE went all out for this match too, having the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders dance during Pat’s entrance and they even licensed The White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army for his theme music.

It was evident that Pat McAfee put a lot of time into preparing for this match as it did not look like he was a first time performer.

McAfee was confident even getting on commentary during his match, delivered great offense including a Hurricanrana and a Swanton Bomb, and sold extremely well.

In the end, McAfee was able to pin Austin Theory to win the match, and then a shocking twist happened.

Vince McMahon, who was sitting at ringside for the match, challenged McAfee to a match, which was the original rumored match for WrestleMania.

McMahon ended up winning the match, while still looking jacked for a 76-year-old, and then the glass shattered, Stone Cold Steve Austin arrived once again.

For the final time, Austin delivered a Stone Cold Stunner to Mr. McMahon and it was perhaps the worst Stunner in the history of wrestling.

And then Austin gave one to Pat McAfee and he sold it beautifully. Click the link here to watch both clips.

Winner: Pat McAfee

Brock Lesnar (WWE Champion) vs Roman Reigns (Universal Champion) (with Paul Heyman) – Winner Takes All match to unify the WWE Championship and WWE Universal Championship

Finally, to close out WrestleMania 38, the two biggest titans in WWE today, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, are finally set to collide for the third time at the Showcase of the Immortals with both the WWE and Universal Championships on the line in a Winner Takes All match to unify the two championships.

As expected, this match was a main event style match, with lots of brawling, suplexes, F-5s, and spears.

One thing to highlight is that during the introductions, Paul Heyman took the microphone from the announcer to do his usual introduction, and then Brock Lesnar did the same and imitated Heyman and it was hilarious. Brock Lesnar spent so long not talking and coming across as very standoffish, but this new Lesnar is so entertaining and he is a highlight of WWE programming.

The match itself was fairly good, with some shenanigans involving Paul Heyman, but it looked as if both Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar both possibly got hurt which resulted in the match ending rather abruptly.

Roman Reigns ended up winning the match and becoming the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Honestly, I think Lesnar should have won, Reigns hasn’t been defeated since 2019 and his Universal Championship reign has lasted over 18 months, it is time for a change, but apparently, that change won’t be happening today. It also feels like WWE is booking themselves into a corner because if Lesnar can’t beat Reigns, who else possibly could?

Winner: Roman Reigns

WrestleMania 38 begins at 8 ET/5 PT on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network everywhere else.
